God Emperor of Dune - the title sounds so cool but nothing happens throughout the book and the ending is shit
I stopped reading Heretics of Dune 50 pages in because it's so fucking boring.
because the first are works of art from a nobody and the others are taking advantage of the profitable trend and not out of love

the heretics and chapterhouse story arc is pretty good. Teg and the Idaho ghoula are pretty solid characters

Its generally accepted that there are big steps down after the first book.
When it's good it's fucking brilliant though.
I really liked the first one and I started reading the second one but it really annoyed me how by the end of the first book Paul has become extremely powerful n shit and then the second book opens up and constantly portrays him in a weak light.
Kind of ruined the continuity for me and I dropped it not even halfway in.
