How many homicides do you reckon this bad boy has caused?
How many homicides do you reckon this bad boy has caused?
Worked for almost 2 months on this.
ABAP the language is quite easy.
But the system is a fucking mess, when you are debugging and sudenly the source code becomes in german you just bang your head on a wall.
I gave up.
How to learning ABAP?
ABRAP... amirite?
Erm... all of them?
fuck everything about SAP
why do people still use this piece of shit?
been using it in the hospital and hated every second
as balla as possible
what is the difference between this and MS Access anyway, sans the security factor
Because big boys are using it and since big boys are successful they must be right, therefore SAP has to be good. The same idiotic logic applies to Oracle DB or MS Exchange.
In theory SAP is a powerhouse with custom builds tailored for each client, it can manage every aspect of your business: warehouse inventory, logistics, invoicing etc.
In practice it's an abomination that fucks up constantly just because 3 minor things weren't configured properly because you didn't ask for them explicitly. And reconfiguration can be done only by SAP "engineers" costing thousands of dollars per job.
Of course noone will admit that's the issue, would you admit to majorily fuck up after spending thousands of dollars on this piece of shit?
>or MS Exchange.
Exchange and EOL are pretty comfy tho. If the big boss has the money for it, I'd prefer to administer it.
why the fuck would people use this garbage over Ms Dynamics ax is beyond me
thanks for the explanation. I just see that it's way less intuitive than Access and newer companies prefers Access to SAP skills
they have good salesman. same as why small companies sign up for Azure/AWS.
Nowhere near as many suicides as this.
>microsoft access
>sap
>comparable or even doing the same job
Worked two years, got T1 diabetus, tinnitus and eyes floaters, now I'm unemployed and sick.
They just make invoice, billing paper etc. and both work with databases I think. I worked with both and I think it has some similarities
We learned it at school; probably on the Internet or in an company itself.
My dad left us because of stress (and alcoholism) induced by SAP.
SAP employee here.
R/3 works okay if you spend thousands of dollars for customization.
S4HANA is faster only because they had to add HANA compatibility and by doing that fixed thousands of SQL queries (think select * from table_with_100_columns only to use 1 column). The new UI (SAPUI5/CrapUI5 or Fiori) looks good enough, but it's a garbage again. And more $$$ for customization.
Most people buy SAP because of its name and support.
Holy jesus, you have no idea... We use sap in my factory to plan work flow, and product changes while also directing fork lifts to locations and telling robots what pattern they have to shape a pallet into.
Sap is nothing like acess.
I thought the plant's DCS would handle those things, dang...
