Once you climb the pyramid there is no reason to lurk or communicate with others on private trackers whatsoever. The waiting game makes it tempting to become involved but i strongly advise against it

Why do most trackers delete torrents that have been unseeded for a while?
If they left them on the site people could at least see that the torrent exists and request a reseed or reseed it themselves.

If my internet isnt good enough to stream plex at full quality (for movies) I'll download it locally and hook my laptop up to that tv. I close utorrent as soon as it finishes downloading, and delete after watching.

I'll later redownload any outstanding HnRs (ptp needs to make a download all rar file option) on my server when im at that apt and permaseed it.

Senior Mod on RED here - this user started harassing one of our uploaders on IRC, at which point the other user sent this user a link to their personal website and supposedly simply checked their nginx access logs for this user's IP address and subsequently ran an extensive nmap scan against the address. They discovered an open service hosted on this user's DD-WRT router and that's the extent of the attack. No one was "hacked" and no details were compromised, however the uploader has had their community (IRC & forum) privileges revoked and has been told they will no longer be welcome participating in RED's community for an indefinite period of time.
