Thanks, but I think I'll just deal with EMUI. This phone is so shit that it doesn't save apps to the SD card, so I only have 8GB of space which is mostly taken up by the OS. I can only have a few select apps.

Launchers are lightweight, just search for Lean Launcher on Play Store, it's essentially Pixel Launcher + optionional customization.

I don't understand how people can look at their homescreen that has so many icons, plus having a shitty wallpaper or a wallpaper that is literally impossible to watch because of the icons.

Pretty few apps I have to look for them, but anyways is a scroll away. That way you can actually appreciate the wallpaper you chose.
