You forgot the ram usage at fresh start which is less than what you displayed. It even gets worse the longer the browser is open.

It's decent but sucks for specific searches like part numbers. Sometimes at work all I have is a SKU to go off of and Google is just plain better at it.

What about it? Your post was about releasing RAM. And my RAM usage doesn't get higher unless I'm caching more things on a site. That's how it works. When I close a tab it releases that cache from mem. Maybe something is messed up on your end. Check out the mem options in about:config
