I like it's installer. could maybe be a good daily driver, for how long have you been using it OP?

>ubuntu based

I have been running Trinity for a few months. I have patches in the most recent release of TDE. I run it on CentOS for maximum stability, though I do run an upstream kernel and third-party apps in flatpaks. TDE is freedesktop.org compliant so flatpaks work just fine alongside other apps.

TDE is not developmently linked to Q4OS like Budgie/Solus or Pantheon/elementaryOS, completely separate projects.

TDE runs just as easily on Debian, Devuan, Fedora, CentOS, and related distros.

So don't give up on TDE because Q4OS is Ubuntu-based.

more vintage themes built-in

so OP either hacked their website and infected the DE with keylogger and btc miner, or he is unironically shilling for free. either way cringe, but the latter is just insanely cringe.

I like Q4OS. Its winXP-like themes are pretty. Too bad I always find the way to break the entire system.

>90s/00s aesthetic
dropped. why would anyone want an outdated design

Already using it on my libreboot T60

I don't like it. It looks like a bloated yahoo bar

> no systemd required.
KDE 5 does not require systemd.

>TDE runs just as easily on Debian, Devuan, Fedora, CentOS, and related distros.
For the Devuan friends Trinity comes with TDE

Q4OS has some nice themes

>tranny desktop environment

>For the Devuan friends Trinity comes with TDE
Fugh, I meant Exe GNU/Linux

Are there any dark themes?

>no Debian packages
Into the trash it goes.

>lying on the Internet

>not using windowmaker for your 90s/2000s aesthetic

a shiggy diggy, a shiggy diggy, a shiggy diggy doggy doo

Attached: wmlive.png (1280x1024, 115K)

How would one use these themes on a real distro?

Oh no! Nonono! Not Kmaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllllllll!

Being passionate about a piece of obscure open source technology on Jow Forums.

You're right, what a fucking loser.

Imagine coming here just to be that person who shits on others for being enthusiastic about something.

Have you seen any of the desktop threads?

People spend hours making Plasma and Gnome look retro.

TDE is right here though and far more stable, lightweight, and tested.

How much work do Gentoo, FreeBSD, and Devuan teams do to get Plasma running without systemd?

Quite a bit if I recall.

>

Debian packages are available, both directly and through the project PPA.

Attached: Untitled14.png (1152x864, 147K)

Nice. I am also excited about the working being done on Maxx Desktop.

Looks comfy AF!
Love my KDE, but might have to cuddle up with a Diet Monster Energy and give it a whirl.

Embrace flat
The internet wont match your desktop if you dont

>can't bind Alt + Shift to language switch
haram

That's the shit i miss the most since they put kde3 to death. Everything is retarded american default now and themes are nonexistent.
Seriously, that welcome wizard has such a deep enterprise feeling to it. I don't know why it doesn't exist anymore.

Windows 3.1 was the pinnacle of a desktop environment.

>Released
wasn't this abandoned?

Can you make it look like windows 7?

>abandoned?
trinitydesktop.org/news.php
>2018.08.18: Trinity Desktop Environment R14.0.5 Released!

So no.

>using outdated software

yeah abandoned
that's what it said on the website last time i checked

It is under active development.

Here are commits:
trinitydesktop.org/patches/

Nightly builds:
quickbuild.io/~trinity/ archive/ubuntu/trinity-nightly-builds/

Latest release with 100+ fixes and updates a few weeks ago.

It is basically like MATE is to Gnome2.

damn this thread evoked some serious nostalgia, i always wished i could go back to the golden era of ui but on a modern base

You can also revisit the golden age hardware with modern UI:
symbos.de/

Let go of the past
Move on
You'll be left behind

This looks like shit

Looks like a fork of KDE 3.

can I see it riced

Q4OS IS a real distro
maybe take a look at the source of the theme
xpq4.sourceforge.io/

lumina de was here
trinity a shit

Man I wanna see a slackware distribution of this.

>lumina de
jesus christ no

you know that's going to be a buggy piece of shit that feels like barebones empty linux with a skin

Damn. I unironically loved these colors. Looks like my homepage I designed back in 2007.

Wow, I thought Trinity was dead.

that looks awful

i want an msx just to run that
wish there was a mega65 project but for msx

>mega65
Like this?

Attached: 6502_Monster_A1_1.jpg (1800x1200, 312K)

thats very pretty but it's too big and not a zilog

Because not everyone wants a boring as fuck, flat design that appeals to Applel söyboys

i want to see a strictly mechanical 6502 built using only greco-roman technology
build it like a waterwheel, 1 turn = 1 cycle

Nice.

>windows theme on linux
Top cringe

>Mac OS 8.6 was the pinnacle of a desktop environment
FTFY

16:9

Which icon theme is used here?

it is

Looks outdated.

>2018
>this ugly, unintuitive, workspace unfriendly, outdated fucking environment

It's like you don't have any self respect at all, not speaking about sense of style and comfort

Attached: download.png (222x227, 10K)

Sweet, I loved KDE3.
