There are more than 100 million in the wild, so no, it's practically worthless.

rip

thanks /g boi

...

If you ship to Europe i would legit buy one for a good 100€ if everything works and Its in good conditions

Are you nigger kidding me you can get ps2 with tons of games for 20€.

this

With recent CPU being able to emulate just about all the PS2 game library, probably worth no more than $20-50.

FreeMC Boot.

Ps emulators have always been shite

We're talking PS2. Also there is only one legitimate PS2 emulator. It plays 95% of the PS2 games library. That's 2.5K games.

Maybe in 50 years

How do I max out my PS2?
What hacks/mods can I do to improve it

Doesn't mean it runs flawlessly.
And because PS2 architecture was a mess until recent years you needed a beefy system.
Not sure about now.
Get a network card, fill up an 1TB IDE HDD and play games for the next century.

You can run PS2 emulated games on a cheap $50 cpu and $100 gpu @ 60fps. You can run PS2 emulated games on Ryzen 2200g at 50+fps on most games.

You don't need a beefy system. I don't know what myths you cling to, but it seems like your mind is stuck for the last 10 years.

>Playing at 60fps
Oh sweet summer child.

Heck, you can even run the most demanding PCSX2 game on the older FX 6350/shitty Radeon 7700HD and sitll get 50+ fps.

Or better yet, a core2duo will run it at at 50+ fps just as easy.

Even better, you can run it on Pentium 4, yes, an ancient Pentium 4 still 40+ fps.

Most PS2 games are designed to run at 30fps.

Any CPU from the past 15 years can emulate PS2 games 30+ fps.

buddy it took me massive amounts of fucking around to barely get 40 feeps on shadow of the colossus with a 24 core v4 Xeon and a Vega 64
I can't be that retarded, you sure about what you're saying

Get a network adapter and an IDE hard disk or one of those fake network adapters with SATA and a SATA hard disk. Then install FreeMCBoot

Install Linux

Problem is you’re measuring in feeps and not fps

What about on a Xeon E5420?
I did a 771 socket mod on it and slapped it in a core2duo board.

eh plenty of PS2 games run at 60fps

You're doing something wrong. You can easily get 50+ fps on Shadows of Colossus on a cheap $50 cpu.

Video is 4 years old.

Skip to 4:15. Another $50 cpu running 60+fps for Shadows of Colossus.

I think you replied to the wrong person, at any rate my Xeon was free.

who was fixing them in the first place?

quade.co/2017/ps2-modbo-5-modchip-installation/

got this chip , have yet to install. figured some of you may be interested

...
he's running at 512x548
try something like 720p or 1600p, it completely fucks everything

Sorry meant to quote you this seems cool, nice find

>GTX 1050 ti
For a second I thought you were not retarded.

To be fair it isn't like you can run 720p on PS2.

it might be worth something in the diy repair community since it's a source of parts

>or /vg/
you mean , and this post fits either board
