Shills are gonna tell you that they tested it with a 1070, so the benchmarks are invalid.
Never mind the fact that synthetic benchmarks shows exactly what it is, disregarding the GPU: It's a small upgrade from the 8700k, basically the exact same performance. Anyone with a Haswell or later CPU still has basically no reason to upgrade.
The i9 9900k is the only interesting CPU of this batch, and it's likely to be priced over $700 dollars anyway, so already out of reach for most consumers, and in the same ballpark as some of AMD's 16-cores for prosumers.
This 14nm++++++ is going to be a flop on all ends. Intel's last hoo-rah before AMD hopefully finally decimates them with Zen2. Maybe then Intel will finally get out of their asses and make decent CPUs again.

>barely beating the 8700K
lmao @ your life, intel

I mean what else was to be expected? Surely there's a limit to how much you can refine 14nm.

Hyperthreading is anti-semitic

>literally no difference between 8700 and 9700
ayy

NO HYPERTHREADING

That's due to the additional 200 Mhz. 4.9 Ghz vs 4.7 Ghz turbos.
