This Xbox alpha dev kit was not that rare at all. I've seen one on sale for $300. The best you could hope to find is the source code of an unfinished game. Big deal.

All the components were off the shelf. Power hungry, slow, old hardware, that can be replaced with a Raspberry Pi that uses 1/20th of its power to achieve the same.
