Using Linux without GNU?
For ethical reasons I no longer want to use (((GNU/systemd, GNU+systemd))) or whatever you want to call it.
What option do I have besides Alpine, or is OpenBSD the only usable OS left?

Why do you guys hate systemd so much other than mounting EFI partition
Memes, really. Most people here don't even have a clue what systemd does, besides existing.
Yes. If you really wanna go all out from GNU, you're looking at BSD. Good luck.
Because RMS and Poetterring are communists
That's your only reason? That's pretty cheap. Ideology should be the last reason you consider using software. You should stop using SystemD for more practical reasons.
without-systemd.org
Just grab the musl version of Void Linux and call it a day.
It breaks a lot of things for no reason, yet if you call them out on this the canned response is "you should code around our bugs k-thx"
I have zero idea what half of that page even means
Then inform yourself.
>It breaks a lot of things
Such as?
As someone who did a tour of nam back in 68, I can no longer use GNU software after finding out that RMS is a communist, but I don't expect kids your generation to understand
Alright, I get it. You're just taking the piss. Silly of me to take you seriously.
You don't really achieve anything by doing that though
Alpine linux can be set up without GNU, and its a "common" distro for routers and other headless machines
use TempleOS
Only GCC can compile Linux, no Linux distro is entirely free from GNU
tmux
I don't use tmux but how exactly is it broken?
use macOS, a capitalist unix without ganoo
He installed?
FreeBSD is systemd free. Also, you cau use clang to compile the kernel.
Just don't forget to follow the Code of Conduct, user!
Gee user, you might want to avoid open source software in general, as the idea of freely sharing IP for sake of betterment for everyone is inherently anti-capitalist. As others have mentioned, gcc is going to be ubiquitous for building pretty much any Linux base OS.
Have fun in your closed freedom garden under M$ or AAPL
Suicide.
Using busybox or anything besides GNU on Linux is going to be incompatible with alot of stuff and probably will have less shit than BSD. If you want to use Unix-like systems without systemd or GNU, try one of the BSDs.
GNU is the best userspace
systemd is the best init system
I switched phones at the cost of many apps in order to get true GNU/Linux/systemd on my phone.
>socialists actually think this
>you cau use clang
no you can't
You can thank RMS, the author of the GPL and founder of GNU, that today's Linux is free of communism.
Void Linux with musl instead of glibc.
>systemd
>ethical reasons
For fucks sake, you anti-systemd fags should stick to technical reasons, it's not like there aren't plenty.
kill yourself
>or is OpenBSD the only usable OS left?
advertising is against the rules.
