ssh+rsync
atm. I'm using duplicati with a root server I got laying around somewhere. It kinda sucks, but is way more convenient than rsync or similar.

Windows Server Backup + Volume shadows.
Best part is it's free
Bareos
I memorize my files
How you guys use rsync? You sync the entire /?
Not only /, but also /home, /etc, /opt, and /var. Fuck /bin and /usr, though.
I print all my files raw and keep them in a folder
uh sweatie my taxes
I can fap to that.
None.
I do backups manually, I don't trust software for that
This. You can make incremental backups via --delete, --backup, and --backup-dir flags. Put it in a nice script and it's robust (otherwise, be very careful with the --delete flag).
nice keyboard
based and redpilled
I don't use backups because I have an SSD and reliable 5 year warranty HDD
I get cloud storage with my Adobe CC subscription
Started with 20GB but kept asking tech support to increase it now I have 2TB

BASED
ollydbg.de
How do I restore a backup from them?
#!/usr/bin/python3
import shutil
shutil.copytree(src, dst)
>he has empty space
empty space is wasted space
You could just have something like the equivalent of a giant banknote counting machine that flips through the pages and OCR-s them one by one, storing only the resulting data. Not the most efficient thing for longevity or space though, since you could just write the same data on a single disc that would decay way slower than paper and ink.
The "just works" solution when you are backing your whole disk.
Syncback to backup, and whereisit to catalog the contents in a nice tree dB, in case I screwed up the backups (at least two different drives)
I upload encrypted 7z archives to Google Drive
ctrl-a
ctrl-c
ctrl-v
Damn, hardware encryption on self-encrypting drives are useless.

Just use `mc` to copy my folders to a pen drive.
Even after 15 years I'm still only using about 58GB.
I dont use any special software. I have a 1tb External Hard drive with everything i need. I make Manifests with links to the sites i downloaded them from and copy them to flash drives along with essential files. It Just Werks

I pay $50 a month split between 5 people +$10 for a domain so I can get unlimited storage from google. 750TB of movies all at my disposal.
Now out of curiosity, what is the best DVD/Hardware to use for backups? How do those of you anons that do this do it?
this is going to sound dumb as fuck, but what do you guys actually back up?
I have maybe a handful of text files and spreadsheets that actually matter to me, totalling less than 5gb.
COPY + PASTE onto external HDD's
Also burn data DVDs.
I never backup anything because I have accepted the impermanence of all things
Source code, config files and photos. Anything that I produce.
Make sure you have a boot paperleaf.
bet it's not even archival grade paper
I'm a NEET that cant afford to buy enough storage to back up my shit so I'm just risking it.
Paper and pen baby
I used an advanced technique called "drag and drop."
>at home
Rsync
>at work
Veeam
Yeah but you're fucked on compression/deduplication unless you do that at a filesystem level.
Oh, you remove the files from your hard drive, then put them on an external?
Documents, pictures, videos, save games.
On Windows, I backup my entire Users folder.
On Linux, I back up my entire (visible) Home directory (no dot files or dot folders).
>implying warranty can protect your data
If your HDD needs warranty then your data is gone for good.
Duplicati, Borg Backup and rsync
Read OP again
>backup *software*

Laser Burner at 3X speed and a big ol stack of DVD RW / CD RW on my desk
tar snapshots, gpg, split, cdrecord.
Depends on what it is that I'm storing. All of my family photos and important documents like essays and stuff are stored on Google services. Any kind of software I'm working on gets pushed to their respective repos on my GitHub account, all with the exception of a game that I'm working on for which I keep a private Bitbucket repository. I don't really store much else because nearly everything I need is online. I even deleted like 90% of my porn and reaction folders because I almost never used them.
time machine/capsule
Copy paste to an external hdd and a zip disquette.
Your image reminds me of that spider chick from Undertale.
