For some reason it makes my cpu go as high as 70°c when I'm not even using it. Can't trust MS software even if it is open sourced.

actually Atom has been losing lots of users to VSCode over the last 2 years and I guess it will be history within other 2-3 years since both are controlled by Microsoft now

I've never seen it use that much RAM. Yeah it's Electron and all, but it's way leaner than Atom.

There's an option to turn that off.
