>nautilus freezes when you search for a file >archive application freezes when you unrar a rar(i have to use ark) >4k video lags or stutters when this wasn't the case before this modern version of fedora
i don't whether its fedora or gnome. i am guessing it's gnome
Gnome 3 is shit, but your complaints don't seem to have anything to do with it. >Nautilus You don't have to use the default file manager that comes with your DE. Nemo, Thunar or PCManFM come to mind. Dolphin would also be an option, although it would probably come with tons of dependencies. >ark freezes when extracting rar archives Did you install libunrar? Also Ark isn't the only archive manager. There are several alternatives, unrar being specifically made to extract rar archives. >4k video lags That sounds more like your hardware can't decode it fast enough. What codecs does the video have and what media player are you using?
Back to with you.

GNOME has been shit for like a decade and won't ever improve Come to KDE like everyone else who isn't a grug

Gnome devs want to impose design onto you like apple. They reduce functionality and claim that it's the right way. Half of the things that gnome2 did well don't even work anymore, settings in nautilus don't exist anymore, the configuration and parameterization for application is also gone. Thumb nails generation and persistent saving of these is a fucking joke, even windows does this shit faster without dying.
Its just fucking bad

>Its just fucking bad It's not bad, it's just the time when distrib will start to get rid of gnome.
Gnome wants to die, Gnome gonna die.
It's a shame mate doesn't use qt. Still using gtk2 mate on my laptop, not sure what I'll do when 1.12 is removed from repos. Didn't even bother with mate on new desktop and just use KDE.
