>later that day Larry Hastings lost his job

What the fuck else would you call it? Bull and cuck?

This change is kink shaming.

>being this triggered over fucking words
>its not even racial
Why do these people even live? Nothing will be gained from changing it.

babysitter/worker

My main issue is that there isn't a single replacement for the terms master and slave (seen above). This dilution of terms means you can't easily search for these terms throughout the code base (something they've shown here to find these in the first place), and you cannot rewrite history and documentation that uses these terms.

>being this triggered over fucking words
People in this thread seem awfully triggered over a few words.

>feeling the need to change a bunch of code

That's a bit of a strawman, code gets refactored all the time. Improvements to readability through better names or structure is sometimes more important than new features.

God this shit is fucking pathetic.

haha python shills btfo, C++ would never have this problem

ISOlet lang

>changing decades old terminology
>Improvements to readability
You don't even know proper written English, your opinion on this, or any other, matter is null and void.

Oh look that's the fucking nuance I was trying to get at. Why didn't you just write that first instead of making a false and overgeneralising statement?

hope it fucks tons of projects like ruby

>still posting nonsensical sentences
The "work" being put into this "issue" is irrelevant, as is the cause behind it. The people that want/need this change should never have been allowed to change, or even look at, the underlying code, since it serves no purpose for their pathetic cause.
Now, quit making yourself look like a fool and stop posting.

kek, this

What the fuck is wrong with you, I never said any of that. I totally agree with you. What I have a problem with is making massive overgeneralsations that don't even accurately convey the issue and leave themsleves to be easily strawmaned.
