Actually going back from Android to iPhone so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Please have an oval screen, Please have an oval screen, Please have an oval screen.......
oh no, everything is soldered, even the mouse.
They'll never do it, but if Apple wants to kill MS nearly overnight all they'd have to do is announce MacOS support for non Apple hardware. Decouple the part of Macs people like from the shitty hardware they don't.
>MS is Windows only
What year is this?
>oh no, everything is soldered, even the mouse.
Apple would never - I mean, ...
>Jow Forums would rather buy an Android phone that will slow down, overheat and get no update in 6 month
>or install a random ROM found on the internet made by unpaid volunteers
REALLY makes me think
Yes I'd rather buy a phone that lets me download files from the internet, play actual games with photorealistic LCD/CRT shaders, drag and drop files, and connect to my server via SSH. In other words a pocket computer instead of a new-era dumbphone.
????
It's a phone my dude, not a serious personal computing device. All it has to do is make calls, texts, and maybe browse the internet a bit. The cheapest will do.
>iToddlers would rather buy another lagPhone that lags worse than budget androids right out of the box and gets throttled and crippled by lagOS updates until it becomes an unusable brick right in time for next years lagPhone to come out
Without Windows dominance on the desktop the rest of their house of cards comes tumbling down. It's why they've killed their traditional paid "upgrades" to the essentially rolling release model of Windows 10. Apple has never really cared about the Enterprise market anyway. Plus if everyone is running MacOS it's a bigger incentive to switch to their mobile stuff due to the integration. Seriously, how many people have iPhones but a Windows desktop/laptop? It would also open up places like China to them where people can't afford their overpriced hardware. Plus it will help convince people to buy their hardware eventually too. "Hey user! MacOS runs even better on Apple hardware!" Like the drug dealer giving out the free samples. They just released a new gaming API recently too. Why would they do that if they only expect it to be run on heavily throttled iMacs?
So how do I sideload an app that Apple doesn't want me to have?
>connect to my server via SSH
itunes.apple.com
Well, technically they already do that with the trackpads. By the way, on new macs if the trackpad dies it prevents the system from even booting.

Can it port forward so I can configure my router or print to a network-attached printer?
Can it do sftp and rsync so I can back up my phone to my server or download entire albums from it?
just void your warranty
Apple has a day one culturally-ingrained need to control as much of their platform as possible, including by selling their software with hardware and fine tuning each with the other as much as possible. They wouldn't let other companies run macOS in a million years even though there are plenty of clear benefits.
I'll read it for you.

They did in the 90's.
>he needs to subscribe for features that come standard with any linux distribution
It's like paying extra for airbags.
>it's a street shitting itoddler thinks he or his toddler toys will ever belong on Jow Forums
I didn't say it was likely. I just said it would be a huge win for them. All their hardware is x86 now. Only real reason not too is because they have an ingrained hatred for anyone that doesn't want a computer to be the price of a car.
>termux
>standard
Tell me where I can buy a car for $2500.
>still concerned about price to performance ratios when your tech gets outdated every year
>no headphone jack
lol stay classy macfags
Termux is an Android terminal emulator that provides a debian-like commandline environment. Most *nix systems come with a package manager and similar way of installing/managing utilities.
i'm capable of reading, thanks.
Have you been to a used car lot lately?
Have you seen the price of previous-gen Apple computers lately?
If only you were capable of using a toilet.

I like Apple but ios11 is pretty shit and gets more shit with every update
>apple ever brought superior price to performance
When? All they did was overpriced piece of garbage with HW failure problem and I don't even hate apple with passion.
>unpaid volunteers
My power of denial is stronger than a 1000 suns.
You haven’t used an iPhone in a long while I guess.
>day one
I’d say it started with the Macintosh. The Apple II was famously very open.
what times this shit streaming i have no life right now so will tune in
Use Xcode to sign your own binary, then install it on your phone.
You’re not actually installing closed-source apps from random Chinese sites, are you user?
