But to answer OP, I used to have a dead pixel on my memepad.
The pixel got stuck for few weeks. It fixed itself.

Had this happen to me. Thought it's on top and ended up killing it by pressing too hard. Looked like 4 bad pixels in row. When fucker bugs were inside screen after that I just turned it off and they left it a while later.

Yeah, I tried shaking it, tapping it and rubbing the screen but it doesn't go away. Sometimes it moves slowly, like over night but not every time.
Someone on /tpg/ told me to open the panel but I'm afraid of breaking and ruin everything.

I tried rubbing a blindingly bright green stuck pixel with a q-tip, it did not un-stuck it but now it's a more tolerable black pixel.

I return the monitor. Dead or stuck pixels are the second thing I check for after obvious light bleed.
