ReCAPTCHA solution brainstorm

Friendly reminder that the rest of Jow Forums expects the Technology board to do something about the terrible and outrageous reCAPTCHA system.

one of my previous reCAPTCHA's just said i didn't click the proper things when i did. it's fucking rigged.

what?

Attached: Untitled.png (1600x870, 386K)

Google help docs confirm it sometimes gives a failed message for correct solvings, all in the name of fighting bots!

When I use the surf browser, it is essentially impossible to complete a recaptcha
then I switch to firefox and it finishes in one go

system is most certainly rigged.

Creating a post on Jow Forums using Overchan
>type text and tap SEND

>tap on pointless button to confirm you are human
>beefy spiral animation struggles into action
>7 seconds later no response
>close window
>tap SEND
>wait 1+ second for weighty JavaScript window to open
>tap on pointless button to confirm you are human
>beefy spiral animation struggles into action
>you are asked to select 3-4 images containing sign posts from an array of 9
>you diligently do so and click VERIFY
>4 seconds pass as you wait for the text post to send
>ERROR. sys.Jow Forums.org:443 failed to respond

Solid response.

holy botnet batman

Bump for free speech

So, do it already!

Clover doesn't have this problem :^)

Yes but Clover is a buggy bloated piece of shit. Also the other problems remain.

Seems like you need to be connected to the botnet to have an acceptable captcha, when I'm signed in on youtube I get a captcha wih 1-2 easy sets every 10+ posts, otherwise it's 10+ slow loading sets per post (assuming it doesn't fail me).

then suffer you cuck

>use Clover or suffer
Wow what has Jow Forums become.

hiro already said he's not going to use another captcha unless it's free
setup your own, fund it with patreon or something
send feedback and have them add it and keep recaptcha as a fallback Jow Forums.org/feedback
not going to happen though, they still want the spam protection recaptcha has so even if it was free they might not use it if it's shitty

>dont software that works
>use soft that doesnt work

I can't remember the last time I actually had to do anything beyond checking the box to complete a captcha.

For some reason the captcha literally doesn't work on anything but chrome, Google cucks are doing this deliberately

reCaptcha is maintained by a corporation. Good luck matching that level of production with another free alternative.

>compromise by using a shitty alternative than help patch the better one
You call me the cuck?

What's buggy in Clover? Literally never had problems using it.

For one, installing 4+Jow Forums boards.

works on my phone

That's fucking great. And I work your mom each Saturday night.

then how did i post this reply on edge?

typical brainlet rage

This nigga butthurt lmao.

I responded on the typical level of the user - cuck name calling, works on my phone, use Clover or suffer.

>using mobile user-agent
>changing screenview size
Don't know why but it seems easier on mobile

>uses inferior software
>gets butthurt when offered a better alternative
Get a load of this guy.

works on my phone cuck

How do I get this non-JS captcha in pc?

There's more to my response to that but you've chosen to ignore it.

disable js in your browser

>not using Jow Forums X

Attached: captcha.webm (1200x800, 2.26M)

That's great for desktop users. What about phone posters?

Haven't done a captcha here in years

Attached: file.png (329x200, 7K)

>not refreshing the captcha when you get questions like these

>buy a 4chumps pay2win pass like a lowly paypig
>accidentally get into an argument with an undercover mod or one of xer's pals
>banned, lose your money instantly

Yeah no thanks.

it's not going to change.
if they would remove every form of captcha, there would be too many bots n' shit.
Most other captchas can be broken with a decent fucking OCR anyway so the one google made is the best. I would suggest just buying a pass with your NEET bux anyway. If you want to support the site you love so dearly

>we gon fight bots by pretending e'ryone's a bot!
It's like pretending some doors are more secure by making them thinner.

clover

>Giving your credit information to hirojima
yikes

>Most other captchas can be broken with a decent fucking OCR anyway so the one google made is the best.
This is so wrong you can't even imagine it.

not really

>passively accepting having to manually change the reCAPTCHA given to you because it is so bad instead of campaigning to implementing a better system

Use the standard V1 system.

Why is this verification required? Something about the behaviour of the browser has caught our attention.

There are various possible explanations for this:

you are browsing and clicking at a speed much faster than expected of a human being
something is preventing Javascript from working on your computer

>>>you are browsing and clicking at a speed much faster than expected of a human being
Why am i a robot Jow Forums

Great point.

I think recaptcha is simply not suited for imageboards.
Usually you use recaptcha to register somewhere (one time action) or to get past some block (file sharing sites dl link generation, security). Those actions are rather infrequent.
On AIBs most in rapid succesion so captcha gets fritzed. In fact, I have harder time with recaptcha on my unique IP that isn't BLed anywhere than with a TOR IP. Cloudflare captchas are still PITA but at least you have to fill them out once, on Jow Forums it constantly gives me those noisy images and deliberately slow loading ones.

>years ago
>use CCleaner
>so happy with it that I consider making a donation
>Avast buys CC
>it's shit now
Dodged a bullet there.

>oy vey our botnet doesn't work quite right in your browser, you must be a robot

I've got loads of similar stories of almost considering making a donation only later to be thankful I didn't because it took a bad direction.

My Overchan doesn't have this problem

I can sense an allegory here.

How nibba? Jow Forums-x option is broken for me.

pastebin.com/VdWBfpW2
For the inline, not 4chanX

Replace Chinkmoot with Niggamoot

Disable JavaScript. It isn't hard. Alternatively, install uMatrix.

I did exactly that using uMatrix, actually.

>there would be too many bots n' shit.
This is not true. It's bullshit perpetuated to justify captcha by default.

If you have pone of these "grid" images, which tiles do you need to click? Those which overlap the object even slightly? Or only if it's more than 20%? Which is it?
If it's about traffic signs, do I click the tiles that contain their rods?

As a courtesy to those advocating a better system it could be demonstrated for a short period of time, until it is evident to all that it is not secure enough.

fuck google commies for using us to train their AI

change to hCaptcha - drop in replacement that even pays some pennies to website owner so Hiro would benefit from it
how can we contact admins?

Attached: 77A60763U8qmPM.png (897x628, 114K)

Clover is better. USE IT!

Good suggestion with hCAPCHA, but you're still helping Google by solving silly puzzles. And if the move were made there's no way he would consider going back to a non-payable alternative.
hcaptcha.com/

just disable javascript and stop being idiots

>oh no i didn't pay for this service i use for hours every day, now they're "scamming" me!!!

just get a pass idiots

hello janny, how goes the day?

but hCaptcha is not goolag, they have their own image recognition thing

>Capitalist monopoly
>commies
I wonder (((who))) is behind this post

Oh really? Good shit. You're right then. Let's get this to Hiro's front desk.

I have a few suggestions for contacting him.
1. Create a thread on /qa/ suggesting this
2. Add a suggestion to the feedback page (Jow Forums.org/feedback)
3. Maybe biz dev direct email? (bizdev@Jow Forums.org)
4. More info on the contact page (Jow Forums.org/contact)

Let's get this shit implemented guys!

/qa/ is as good as /trash/ - administration never reads it, need to contact directly

Does anyone know how to get in.contact with mods directly? What is the recommended course for contacting the admin or whoever is responsible for the tech side of things?

Get an userscript manager like violentmonkey or greasemonkey. Then install Jow Forums x by clicking the link and confirming the installation:
Jow Forums-x.net/builds/Jow Forums-X.user.js
After that, refresh your Jow Forums tab(s) and click the settings icon. Under ‘posting and captcha’, select forcing the noscript captcha.

>get selenium python
>click captcha using it
>harvest images, send it to tensorflow
>if image is 20% or so equal to challenge, click
easy

Better options already exist. Google offers "invisicaptcha" in which you basically don't have to click or check anything. There's also different non-Google captchas that allow you to only have to fill them out once every 10 posts or so.
But hiromoot will never implement that because then there will be less of an incentive to buy a Pass.

>implying practical communism is anything but a state monopoly of everything

buy the pass

Sir, I'm afraid your browser has cancer. Please treat it asap.

the plain http made me kek more than anything else
Well done
