Airplane pilots are very adamant you use extreme 3rd party cooling solutions for iPads if you're gonna take them to the skies even if you have fucking AC as even a tiny ray of sunlight will cause the already overheating and thermal throttling piece of shit to lock up for a solid 5 minutes or more. Real fucking swell to be trapped in a steel coffin while your lag pad cools down from running a flight map app.

Apparently training automated statistics programs. Why they thought the numbers of people using phones for that was high enough I have no idea. For all I know maybe it is high enough. Have I just been out of the loop and building a bolt sorting robot arm somehow piss easy and cheap and easy to do and I need to do it to impress house guests? While you've mentioned an alternative that is truly more battery draining, it's not the only alternative. For shorter periods of time, on the order of minutes or less, it's more expensive to evict an app from memory than it is to suspend it, especially if you end up using it again; both computationally and in regards to power.
