I run a Mac software shop (we develop and sell productivity software to macfags) and all new Macs I got for the office are hackintoshes. you get better hardware, better maintenance and better performance for half the price. we still have 2 real Macs for signing and app store submission but that's it. real work is done on custom built hackintoshes.
