well, you wouldn't if you wrote an 8-bit web browser retard

ZFS.

I don't. But I like the luxury of having 16MB. Eat me.

I wish more stuff was nice and bloat free
I imagine that when AI starts deigning hardware it will be nice to look at and use.

Until then I need 16gb of ram to load up facebook

To make this post.

I want to listen to pirated mp3 without buffering from disk or burning to expensive cdr.

Absolutely dreadful concept.
Are you that same retard that makes these blog posts all day?
Just buy a fucking pentium G530, they're $10 on aliexpress. Can probably get a bargain bin mobo at a local shop for another $10.

You have a lieral addiction to this shithole, find something productive to do.

I don't.
I would like to disagree.

but I don't see the thread on the image, which was seen on the original.

Why should I
I don't care what I do or do not need. I use what I use because it's what I want to use.

You could have used the ASCII display so the thread shows too

You're being too picky about this.
The EGA card in this thing can do graphics or text, but not both at the same time. Plus I'm using a CGA monitor, what you see right here is the best resolution it can do (640x200)

Attached: we wuz dithering n shit.jpg (720x540, 53K)

the program you use can show the pictures as ascii next to the text though plus that ega card with even a cga monitor should do ega high res text

>as ascii next to the text
Do elaborate
>that ega card with even a cga monitor should do ega high res text
Anything higher than 640x200 will throw the monitor out of sync. Keep in mind the 5153 is a glorified TV set with a TTL input.
Here's a test in CGA palette 0

>You have 5 seconds to explain why you need more than 640 kilobytes of memory
I want to display images bigger than 1600x900

Attached: 1537045807780.jpg (600x641, 104K)

Oh, I got what you meant by "ascii next to the text".
You're referring to 4chanBBS, not CompuShow (the program I'm using to view the picture).
It could do that at some point, but the image servers are hardcoded into the program and they've changed since it was made, so right now it can't display them. I changed them at some point on another copy I had on a different machine, but I lost that. I'll have to edit this one too, seeing how much I use it to shitpost.
I also tried to implement the conversion to ASCII via aalib, since the built-in conversion is awful (not that it should be better), but got nowhere.

Then decode them in segments, resizing and converting each segment into EGA resolution and colors as you go.

I use solidworks.

Watching images becomes eight kilobytes and constantly swapping adventure.

It's more a question of streaming the image from disk to the screen. You can decode a 5 MB jpg that would take up 50 MB decoded, with only a few hundred KB segment buffer.

*200 lines. You can feed it any amount of horizontal pixels if you use some FPGA nonsense to generate the signal. You can even use high frequency flipping of the TTL signal to generate more colors.

videya

That's just sad, most other computers around that time with 512k could do way better

Well no shit. Good luck getting an EGA card to do that. I'm lucky the damn thing supports the 10MHz bus clock of my Turbo-XT board.
Do show me a general purpose system from 1983 or earlier which can show a picture generated in 2018 in a completely different format without any optimization whatsoever apart from resizing and some lousy dithering in better quality, then.
By the way, the picture I transferred to the computer (pic related) is 40K and change.

>You have 5 seconds to explain why you need more than 640 kilobytes of memory

The HTML code required to display that single sentence was over 800KB.

>I don't.
>posts 2.09 MB image

You can look at the 40K version I posted. No charge.

I don't intentionally limit myself with technology is some sort of far-flung approach to seek superiority.

Emacs needs 8MB

nice, how much does a pair of 8Mb sims set ya back these days?

Chrome

you could that conversion if it wasnt for a pc with more than 2mb of memory

you could not do*
