Except I'm not, I just happened to get a vega 64 after I returned my gtx 1080 due to glitching artifacts and randome shutdowns. Overall I found performance a tad better in most games. Sue me.

Gpu hasn't made anything revolutionary for decades. Now vulkan and low level apis are the future. In the end your cpu is doing most the work compiling so the gpu can read it. Now vulkan having no screen tearing is revolutionary but not Nvidia all they do is pay off AAA companies

Nvidia isn't revolutionizing anything on the gayming end. They already been dominating since Maxwell. Ray-tracting is old-hat but computively expensive and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
They are more of a gamer changer on the general compute and AI learning side.
Intel is so scared they have hamfisted AVX512 onto SKUs that didn't need it because of the growing threat of GPGPUs in the HPC scene.
