lmao what was wrong with the video

The Verge is just a bunch of moronic sycophants, they aren't real journalists.

They just spin applel news

>makes a shitty video with a nigger who has no clue what he's doing
>>oooh stahp criticizing us you racists ;-;

>*puts out shitty video*
>"we'd better put a black guy in it, so if we get called out on our ineptitude we can say it is harassment"
well played

They knew exactly what they were doing when they put up that video

This was all planned

Attached: 1536323190085.jpg (604x453, 42K)

Why did they even make a video on how to build a PC anyway?
There's already 3,000 videos and tutorials out there.
Some of them are actually accurate.

This, all the big corporations and companies are creating polarizing situations, it's almost like they're being controlled by one ((entity))

late stage capitalism

a lot of thermal paste (plus thermal paste with thermal pads),no air flow to the PSU, GPU on the wrong slot , bad way of inserting ram( also in the wrong slots), the fact that he half asses everything and acts like inserting the CPU installation is some kind of holy process.

How come every modern journalist calls criticism "mass harassment campaigns"?

This is why CoCs are good

They all went to the same marxist university

Just posted this in the other thread

There were a bunch of issues.

Some nonsensical grandstanding.
>>Acting like the CPU was hard to come by
>>Acting like the Ram was fast, 2600mhz

Stated factually wrong info
>>Called Zip ties "tweezers"
>>ESD bracelets protect you from electrocution
>>Vibration dampeners were to prevent electrical shorts
>>That pre-applied Thermal paste wasn't enough(and that even be used)
>>That adding more and mixing them was a good idea.

The methods he described were novice at best.
>>Used a swiss army knife instead of a screw driver.
>>Started by installing motherboard
>>Didn't route cables first or at all
>>Mounted the radiator without the fans
>>Used a CPU installation kit??
>>MSI style thermal paste application, but with extra.
>>Installed CPU cooler at the end
>>Fan placement had heat blowing on the motherboard
>>USED LONG SCREWS AND DRILLED INTO THE RADIATOR
>>HE KEPT GOING EVEN NOTING HOW HARD IT WAS

They also actively hid issues he had by editing them out.
>>The ESD bracelet was fake
>>They didn't show the process of how to put a CPU block on.
>>He had trouble mounting his CPU block evident by his phone light being on
>>B-Roll showed he left a retension screw off 1 corner of the CPU
>>Fans magically appear on radiator

Finally, and most novice mistake, the specs were nonsensical waste of money.
>>$2000 budget
>>He had 1080p 60hz display
>> 850w Platinum PSU
>>For an ITX board
>>No plans for upgrading.
>>Using 1080 instead of 2080 even when the Verge is footing the bill.

To show case their work, they had a tangle cables in an incomplete over priced badly spec'ed build. They then ran DOTA on it playing at 1080p, stating that it gets over 300fps, but you can't see it since its a 60hz display.

They failed to show the troubles novice might run into and choose to edit out the issues they had. If they had approached it from a "first time build" followed by "What I learned from it" everything would have been fine.

kek

please tell me that someone downloaded it

What the fuck

>that söyboy face
why does everyone do this

What's the point of making a video on how to build a PC, aren't there thousands of those?

It was a mATX board, but there are a few more things that were wrong as well

>Installing the two sticks of ram in the wrong slots so no dual channel
>No cable management
>Referring to the I/O shield as "brace"

The fact that at least a dozen people couldn't even make a build a PC video properly is rather damning

I think that was just him being over the top in a rather cringy "stereotypical asian" way

Seems like he's purposely doing a racist caricature since everyone is all butthurt and offended anyway.

I closed out ten seconds in. People enjoy this kind of voice?

You're right, my bad.

It's a racist character kyle does.

Zoomer brainlets are more likely to click on thumbnails that have weird and 'funny' thumbnails. They really are that retarded. That's why Linus' thumbnails are all retarded facial expressions, 90% of his audience are 14 year old chucklefucks.

Here's an actual reupload instead of a cancerous reaction video.

Thanks for the write up you fucking autist.

I found the original video link in my internet history and googled the video ID.

They could have went full tommy wiseau and owned that shit, saying it was "black comedy" (no pun intended)

they also could have called it performance art, but literally addressed it in the most lame way possible

>it'll be good
aha, it better be

She kinda looks like a young Mizuna Rei.

Must be the mongol genes

"The Verge is just a bunch of moronic sycophants, they aren't real journalists."
According to your definition, journalism died a long time ago. And you're absolutely right about this.

They attached the CPU cooler with only 3 screws instead of 4.

They installed the PSU in such an orientation that if someone was dumb enough to follow their directions, could result in their house burning down.

And they have the nerve to call harsh criticisms, about their guide to burning your house down, harassment?

>REEE OUR SAAFE SPAACE!
Retards.

>PSU can burn your house if oriented the wrong way.
Fucking hell I didn't know it was that bad.(never watched the vid)

The fan was mounted flush with a solid panel in the case so the PSU had absolutely no means of moving any air.

While I expect a PSU would have the ability to shut its self off before it caught on fire, I'm sure some out there don't have any kind of safety.

I too have made several "build a pc" videos. I too have gotten lots of nasty remarks. But since I am not a whiny limp-wristed invertebrate whose skin is thinner than single-ply tissue, I do not go around pretending that I am being "attacked" or "harassed".

Pic related.

>If you put effort into a helpful post like then you're autistic.

If they wanted a nigger assembling a PC they could have just hired Marques Brownlee since despite being a general consumer tech shill he can actually assemble a PC without fucking up.

If they wanted soys there's Linus and Austin Evans.

Fucking thank you, holy shit that other video was trash

You could make a video breakdown of it, pointing out the mistakes. It would be a learning experience. Verge could do it themselves, of course, reviewing all the shit they did wrong, but I doubt they have the balls to do that after deleting the video
Go viral dude lmao

wtf

How did he even spend 2k on all that?

>patel
>minor factual errors
>"racist attacks"
Remember this episode, every time somebody says to you with earnestness "diversity is our strength". Pajeets and niggers get journalism jobs that they cannot do well, if at all, and any attempt to point this out will be considered a hate crime.

Jow Forums is right again.

Attached: day-of-the-rope.jpg (1024x789, 132K)

To be honest I pulled it from memory and a few other posts here on Jow Forums, and I still missed shit.

I made a couple of mistakes here >> At the end he did talk about upgrading to the 2080TI being the reason for the 850w psu, still overkill.
>>The game he was playing was League of Legends and not DOTA.
>>mATX not iTX
>> RAM was install incorrectly
>>IO shield not brace
>>CPU socket, not slot.
>>He couldn't install the last screw because he over tightened the others to soon on the CPU.

Of course it's being built to play fucking Onionsfield V

how do we save the West ?

dis nigg(er) have a bunch of rocks in his mouth? I can't even understand him at times.
