Near impossible or you would have to make lots of compromises. Laptop consists of shit loads of various parts including dozens chips, capacitors and other crap.
The US military requires all its gear to be domestically made.
And the US gov still refuses to use nationalized companies for defense, leading to said gov getting ripped off and taxpayer money being wasted

Theoretically you don't need them, since you have the required tech know-how and a lot of the patents, it's just that you still choose to manufacture in Asia, so let us hope that Chinks never think to put backdoors in what they make.

Obviously it'd be more expensive and difficult, but it's not just "theoretically we have the know-how" there are literally working, modern semiconductor fabs in the US with the full stack of institutional knowledge.
