in college I did a lot of ftp lists from irc://dalnet. ran a pro-audio channel and a more major channel until the show. then everyone moved to efnet. this was pre 1997. got a good job using my coding skills for good and didn't return until 2000 when binaries dominated usenet. I was a goddamned file hog.
