To be fair, anybody on the business side of things who has to deal with devs would benefit from at least a little bit of programming knowledge to protect themselves from senior 'engineers' and tech-bros constantly pulling the wool over their eyes. It happens all the damn time.
The girl programmers I've worked with have been fine, aside from a kind of shitty chip on their shoulder attitude, but they've been perfectly competent.
The one thing I'd note (I'm sure you've all heard this before, but for another data point...), There are devs who learn some skills, and then are never interested in learning anything new ever again, and it can sometimes be infuriating to work with them. A good chunk (call it half) of the male developers I've worked with are tech nerds who follow the industry and keep up to date on what's going on and learn new relevant skills (often at work while they're being paid) because that's what they'd be doing anyway, and the other half are somewhere closer to the former group. Unfortunately, I've never worked with female developer like this. They've all been completely uninterested in technology, and simply went to school for 2 years after their arts/design/useless-degree/diploma proved incapable of making money and they heard tech was good. In their defense, that's a perfectly reasonable path, but I have a hard time picturing a good long-term game for them when their primary skill set came from a 2 year course filled with fundamentals and generally out of date information.
For what it's worth, I know there are some women who fall into the enthusiast category, I've just never worked with any.

I worked in one of the major data centers in the UK and we had one amazing female linux engineer who was better than 80% of her colleagues. Women can do well in tech when they have a genuine passion for it but the reason that the field is dominated by men is because so few women are interested in computers beyond posting selfies and getting likes. There is literally no gate keeping stopping women from getting into coding or tech in general other than their own willingness and all these stupid patriarchy arguments are just a way to cast off all personal responsibility whilst getting their sympathy fix

The reason most women don't care about coding is because of the way the female productivity works:
Women, unlike men, have a distaste for being pioneers, they prefer working on what is well understood.
That's why women ace on old professions that don't have that much progress anyway and men are shit at them because they get easily bored unless they work at pioneering stuff.
Coding is still relatively pioneering. I mean, hell, we even still invent new programming languages every year (albeit most of them are useless).
Or at least we progress the ones we have.
You don't see structural engineers re-invent their math every year. It usually takes decades for minor improvements there.

Working on something you don't enjoy is shit. Unless your brain is hardwired to "enjoy" only what brings money; I can't do that.
