That's just so retarded. The only product they made that can at least be perhaps a little bit "tweaked" not to be worthless is macOS. You have the most locked down devices, the most useless, featureless shit you can think of, just so all that you have works a little bit better within an ecosystem. Google has done it better and you don't require to give up on everything the fuck else. You can't even downgrade your fucking phone in case Apple decides to push an untested mess of an update that makes the phone slower, drain on battery faster, and gets hot as shit.

What is the use for an iPad. I can see a use case for the iPhone (if you don't care for Android, it's essentially your only option plus women dig it), and I can see a use case for the apple watch (you have an iPhone, and want a wrist accessory).

But what of the iPad? It's an oversized phone. Not as good as a laptop, not as comfortable as a phone.

Honestly homebrew is better than any package manager on Linux. You get all the benefits of a gentoo-like distro when you want it, but can otherwise have the convenience of a normal debian/fedora-like binary distro.

thats pretty funny. it actually doesnt get too hot, I opted for the i7 because of the thermal throttling issues of the i9 and i havent had any problems so far. The gen 3 butterfly keyboard seems to have solved the dirt and debris issue as well. my huawei laptop got significantly hotter performing the same tasks actually

The closest you can get on Linux is a shitty distro like Sabayon, and even then you're using two different package managers to achieve the same end result, and you can still end up with shit breaking if someone else fucks up because while the equo repositories are just pre-built binaries of the portage source packages, so the dependencies are the same, it only takes one package slipping through the cracks in the equo repositories and being mismatched to the portage packages for it to all go to shit, where homebrew is all handled by one set of repos and one package manager.

Funny, it's been my experience that homebrew is faster than apt, pacman and portage. And it definitely leaves yum in the dust. That's even when considering the fact that homebrew will even check to make sure it's up to date itself, and updates if it isn't, when installing packages. The only time I've ever experienced homebrew to be slow is when it's actually slow host resolution via DNS and any package manager would've been slowed down on the same connection.
