Is Apple a tech sin?

Is this legal robbery?

They're luxury products for poor people.

Anyone dumb enough to pay it is welcome to do so. It's probably mostly catering to the business market that is going to write it off on taxes anyway.

Try to see how much a computer with similar components costs from Dell or Lenovo.

>AMD radeon

So many poor people with 13,348.00 computers out there, how many do you know Rajeesh? An awful lot right? Like imagine living in such a prospering society where a $13,000 computer can be afforded by poor people. Rajeesh, sadly, the reality is that this computer is worth literally more than what the average indian will make in a life time, try again.

s oyfrog

Oooh! I could save $70 when I bundle something with my $13.3K purchase. Yessss!

No, it is not. You aren't being coerced into getting Apple products.

>128gb of ram
what the fuck

OK

literally the most expensive parts i picked in a hurry

Attached: Untitled-1.jpg (1920x1200, 354K)

You must have really poor reading comprehension.

half a price at 32 cores

not a native speaker can u elaborate?

>Big bulky box vs thin all in one
>No OS vs the world's most advanced OS

Im a PC guy as well but come on brainlet.

Can you not fucking read? It didn't say Threadripper 2990WX, nor did it say GTX 1080 Ti, nor did it say 2 TB SSD. Not to mention, this doesn't accommodate for the cost of miniaturizing parts and custom parts, which aren't found anywhere else.

>> world's most advanced OS

i rest my case, wont argue with idiots...

apple only makes $13 000 computers?
retard

yea, these are even better components

i really dont understand why u would get a monster pc (cause mac nowadays is a PC) in a thin package

either you need performance or looks, make your goddamn mind

That's what's in OP's photo retard, go shit up some other thread Rajeesh.

That doesn't look like the Dell order page.

asking for money in exchange for goods or services is legal robbery

Apple markets their products for show, those things will be on receptions, museums, CEO office... no other company builds or has a brand designed around being a fucking rich faggot

0/5 troll

>Bundle with Windows VM
LMAO

Moron, nobody is buying this for gaming, people are buying it because it follows industry standards and does so in a sleek figure. Corporations aren't buying gaming GPU's and buying Threadrippers, they buy industry standards.

>>>/leftypol/

Dumb animeposter wanted to make another Apple hate general but he was too fucking stupid to look at OP's photo before he made his generic comment. Look make a new thread, call it a day Rajeesh, post the iPhone XS, that'll get you lot's of (You's)

*runs to the left*

You guys ever consider just taking the Apple pill?

Going full iMac + MBP + iPhone + Apple Watch and living a truly comfy life?

Attached: 1480924431406.jpg (1680x943, 191K)

products should be manufactured for the betterment of humanity and out of the goodness of your heart IMO

>>moron

>>threadripper and 1080 arent industry standards

im pretty sure coroprations dont buy these macs

>A GTX 1080 and Threadripper are industry standards
You're actually so stupid it hurts. Here, since it's quite clear that you're new, I'll help you out and get you started.

Apple tech is fine, was fine, will maybe be fine again. Literally everything sucks. The silicon is stuck at least 10 years in the past. Users genuinely believe that the browser is an application platform. It might be illegal in europe to build a computer which can't be used by anyone below uganda-tier intelligence. Most nigger cattle have no clue what a processor architecture is, much less what it does, or why we might need a new one.
Really sad. The world is fucked. Just buy a mac and shitpost. The extra money is worth the time you save; if, and only if you aren't a wagie in a cagie trying to get the highest framerate out of his suffering.

Both are consumer trash. Thought 1080 is still pretty decent.

lolwut, "poor people buy expensive goods"
Sweet logic there bro. It doesn't matter what you believe, poor people do not buy expensive iphones, poor people buy droids.

dude original post stated vega 64

not titan, nor quadro, but vega 64

so again as i said i picked parts in a hurry

but what really bugs me that you think that someone who does serious work will pick mac...

if any part of your mac stops to work you have to send the whole machine to repairs for god knows how long

It's a high but still relatively reasonable price for what's offered. How many all in ones with similar specs can you get? Comparing it to a desktop with a similar spec as some sperg did, makes no sense when a huge part of the appeal is the compact size.

The price for replacement is where their jewery really gets too much.

>clean muh butterfly keyboard
>mess up with the space key due it being a fragile bitch
>15+ bucks and weeks of waiting for a chink replacement for a stupid piece of plastic
And because they are so fucking slow with updates and communication, I don't even know whether just getting a new is worth it.

>if any part of your mac stops to work you have to send the whole machine to repairs for god knows how long
You usually get a replacement right away.

Also are you seriously pretending that the majority of the the creative industry isn't using a Mac?

So now you can read? The point was that Vega 64 is orientated towards compute and "prosumer" work-loads.
>so again as i said i picked parts in a hurry
What's the hurry for, you cant afford it either way.
>but what really bugs me that you think that someone who does serious work will pick mac...
What bugs me is the fact that you're so retarded, that you think corporations sit down, go on PC Part Picker and buy a bunch of GTX 1080's for gaming.
>if any part of your mac stops to work you have to send the whole machine to repairs for god knows how long
Vs you making your own computer, which get's you no support. It's super obvious you have the slightest idea how corporations work.

>>You usually get a replacement right away.
yea right

>>Also are you seriously pretending that the majority of the the creative industry isn't using a Mac?

if you mean designer tend to like macs, then youre not wrong

>So now you can read? The point was that Vega 64 is orientated towards compute and "prosumer" work-loads.

its not that better (if it is at all) than 1080 for same tasks

>>What's the hurry for, you cant afford it either way.
i must make dinner

>>What bugs me is the fact that you're so retarded, that you think corporations sit down, go on PC Part Picker and buy a bunch of GTX 1080's for gaming.

didnt say that at all, just said they sure dont use these $15k macs, this is a niche (as they go) product

you cant expect max performance and miniature size, one excludes other

>>Vs you making your own computer, which get's you no support. It's super obvious you have the slightest idea how corporations work.

no, just 10 days offtime VS changing a part of pc that doesnt work in 15min

>"poor people buy expensive goods"

They do, with a little magical something called credit. That's why Keith the illiterate welder can buy a $60k pickup truck.

You fucking moron, the GTX 1080 Ti literally can't handle floating point, you can't compare them.
>i must make dinner
Low IQ LARP
>no, just 10 days offtime VS changing a part of pc that doesnt work in 15min
I'm sure corporations just have a spare quadro/vega 64 just laying around!

>you cant expect max performance and miniature size, one excludes other
Hence some people want a balance and iMac Pro offers it. It's not cheap obviously but the people with these requirements usually don't give too many fucks about a few grand.

>Underaged poster doesn't understand the difference between a Credit Card and a Car Loan.

This doesn't factor in the price of the 5k monitor

What would you need to run to slow down a computer with an 18-core processor and 128gb of RAM?

Windows.

Play games at 5K.

>>You fucking moron, the GTX 1080 Ti literally can't handle floating point, you can't compare them.

12,665 GFLOPS vs 11,340 GFLOPS

yes, whatever, staying on subject...

it does read it again

How can Tim Cook be so rich when hes paying all these shills?

>What is FP64
Certified brainlet.

>Shit, too many people are calling me out for being retarded, better call them shiils!!!!

Just leaving this here.

Attached: iMac-Pro-vs-Real-Workstation.jpg (3300x4414, 1.17M)

That doesn't look like the Dell order page.

To be precise, it's a very capable card but the combination is not a good deal

real life example? like in what application you would see the difference

BUT IT DOESNT LOOK NICE

but can it emulate the NES version of tetris?

How do they stuff all that into the thin monitor and keep it cool

Just built this for $13K

Attached: Threadripper-iMac-Competition.png (2321x3551, 869K)

> 500W PSU for a 18-core Xeon + Vega64
> Dual fans to keep everything cool (plot twist: it throttles!)
> GPU soldered to the mobo
I wonder how...
>

Nobody cares what you built. Nobody has yet to posted an actual competitor from a reputable company.

>afford
poor cant really afford them, they take out loans and in the end pay even more.

apple has become a poor persons trademark

>and keep it cool

Apple hardware doesn't stay cool, it's usually configured to reach ridiculous temperatures before the fans kick in.

do you know what a credit score is?

They don't. iMac Pros are notorious for throttling. You can't get any serious work done on anything that would push those specs. The old Mac Pros were better.

>NZXT x62 on TR4
>buying BOTH a Wifi card and 10G NIC when motherboard already has good wifi that'll even do 60ghz and includes a 10G NIC add in card.
I highly doubt you actually built this and if you did, its just another example money doesn't buy brains.

>poor people
no just retards.

iPhone is boss, worth every penny. Everything else apple sells is a huge ripoff.

I'm a native speaker and I dont even know what the fuck that guy is on about lmao

Don't they both get effected by credit though? The better your credit score, the better the loan you can get? I live in the city and still don't know how to drive at 25 bc there's no point so I don't really know how car loans work.

>$900 for a FUCKING CASE
really makes you think

I feel that vega 64 in an all in one that is difficult to open isnt the best idea.

the case that it comes in probably makes up half the cost lmao

Attached: box.jpg (500x500, 36K)

I mean no one is forcing you to buy the POS. If you drop 13,000 you can only blame yourself.

Video editing, effects, and processing

DUAL xeon 6136 gold's(2 X 12C/24T) to make a 24 core, 48 thrwad5 CPU. DUAL quadro P4000's. 2TB PCIe nvme SSD. Comes out to 12 grand, add the Dell 5k for 1000 from Amazon and it's a MUCH better machine for equivalent money.

Attached: Screenshot_Chrome_20180923-002410.png (1080x1920, 212K)

Oh and 128gigs of ecc ram

Poor people buy $120 shoes, $800 phones, and $35,000 SUVs not because they can afford them (they can't, and often get their shit repo'd), but because they're self conscious about being poor so they try to LOOK wealthy.

>No madden '06, pornhub, e621, bad dragon, /mlp/, or "how to take a screenshot" tabs
I'm disappointed.

>$120 shoes
isn't that normal when you want something that's made well enough to actually be durable?
particularly true for leather shoes in my experience

Well... if you compare the price of the mac in a part per part basis, the result makes sense, but still you can make yourself a better computer with that money.
