When I lived in Seattle, I drove past a homeless encampment under the 90 every day on my way to work and always saw a lot of them begging. They all have the same gaunt, disheveled look, many of them prematurely graying and showing other signs of aging from exposure to the elements and probably the drugs they're on, plus the same odd mannerisms and way they carry themselves, probably also from drugs or mental illness. If Terry had died when I was living there, I'm sure I would have "seen" him too.
