A question that has been posed many times.
What kind of Torrenting software do you use / recommend?
There are many alternatives out there, which is the best in your opinion?

I like qbittorrent
I'm having an issue with transmission and this seems like the thread to ask. every time I start a new torrent using the webui. I have to reset where I download to. is there a way to change and force the webui to remember a different save to location than the webservices folder?
>rTorrent > qBitTorrent
Gotta check r, then, cos I've been using q.
µTorrent 2.2.1
This but the command line version (transmission-daemon) with the ncurses interface (transmission-remote-cli).
You clearly don't know about Transmission config file.
I have still yet to see anyone use the actual best solution to downloading torrents. It's amazing.
give me a quick rundown on this hot memeware
deluged
And that would be?
>b-b-but linux doesn't get viruses!
PFFHAHAHA
I don't use rtorrent but
>misconfiguration vulnerability
>misconfiguration
Doesn't this only affect people who don't know what they're doing?
I just use uTorrent 2.2.1
Don't see any reason to change, RSS feeds work just fine.
rtorrent

rtorrent for seeding and bulk downloading
deluge for bursting in initial swarm
>defend this shit
OK
That vulnerability only applies if the rtorrent font-end is open to the Internet...i.e. misconfigured seed boxes.
It doesn't apply to home users, unless you're opening port 80 to the public net. And if seed box companies get mined, who gives a fuck.
Clue - You can stream torrents with it.
that is mostly from people not password protecting their rutorrent
