>way faster and phones can actually run two apps at the same time nowadays
What have I been missing? I thought you could just use some old cheap junk if all you use your smartphone for is whatsapp, browsing and reading ebooks/office stuff/mango. This is awesome

reading this put me in a good mood

What's the latest update on 6T release date?

What would be your perfect smartphone /spg/:

>midrange
>snapdragon 710
>1080p OLED display
>QUAD Dac
>usable by one hand

basicly a phone to get/make calls/messages, watch videos and listen to music

Mi Mix 3S?

>trying to unlock bootloader for Moto G6 to get a new OS on it

>contact support, tell me it's a carrier problem
>contact carrier they say they don't have the technical ability to help, offer nobody to help
>look on xda, everyone suggesting different things
>looks like I can't unlock it strait up for whatever bullshit reason
Getting real tiered of not being able to do what I want with what I've bought. probably going to return this shit.
What is a good phone that I can unlock? I want out of the botnet.

Pocophone F1 or Mi Mix 2?

Both are about the same price, and my Redmi note 4 has been dropped to death.

Hey Jow Forums I need a new phone since my OnePlus X is shitting the bed and I am really tempted to get an iPhone X. A colleague of mine has one and it seems nice. Never had an iPhone though, so I'm worried I won't like the ecosystem. Wat do?

OnePlus 6 and boast about how much smaller the notch is to your colleague

17 October

Where did you buy the phone from? What is your carrier?

Will the one power release in Europe in October too or is that just in Asia?

>SD660-845
>6.5", 16:9, 1080p, IPS
>bottom bezel only with capacitive buttons
>main camera with OIS
>secondary telephoto camera
>good DAC and a headphone jack
>minimum 3.5 Ah battery
>can be rooted

>iPhone SE

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on A2 lite, "upgrading" from an OPO. Should I really?

>doesnt crash
>handles basic games
>doesnt drop calls
>really good camera
>good notification handling
just something that doesnt make me sad and will occasionally make me happy

Memexico
Because this is, IMO, the better choice for me. The ones with B4 are either too cheap and thus lacking features, or too expensive.

Mi8 SE is the closest to that.

Meizu Pro 7, yay or nay?

Wouldn't take the risk, you'll probably be stuck on 3G.

Attached: 28.png (583x362, 31K)

just spend a little extra and get the regular Mi8, or Mi Mix 2

Pocomeme has bigger battery and mix 2 has a no notch

Also camera

>logo on the front
FUCK OFF. I'd rather pay $1499 and get an iPhone XS Max than a fucking indian pajeet piece of shit with the LOGO on the FRONT. Fuck.

Attached: 4949794-random-image.jpg (500x375, 29K)

Apparently the B5 band being used here is not official, yet some peeps have been getting it to work intermittently. AT&T has yet to confirm or deny this.

Well, shoot. Guess I'll have to wait a lil bit longer.

>tfw no Pocomeme with B4 band

Do we have a launch date for Xiaomi's newest generation?

no 3.5mm jack

What is the best phone you ever had?

What is the best ad blocker for a non rooted android in Jow Forums's opinion?

A LG G4 but with a modern soc and a samsung screen and a quad dac would be absolute perfection

also no bootlooping

Hi guys, I'm requesting purchasing advice.

USA ; AT&T ; battery life, storage, decent front and forward camera ; $200-$300 ; 5"-7"

I'm not looking for anything crazy. If those requests are over-budget, then I'm willing to compensate, I'd rather it just be within that range if possible.

Nokia 6.1

Also, please feel free to tell me if my requests are stupid and I should die quickly. All ears.

amazon and Verizon respectively
Are phones bought from amazon not able to be rooted?

>no 3.5mm jack
Well, the S9+ and Note 8 will probably reach its price point when they're 5 years outdated, but will still be left with the curved edge gimmick and hopefully custom ROM support.

I want to sell my s8 but I dont know what to ask for it. I cracked the front and rear glass in an accident. It works perfectly fine otherwise. What should I ask for it?

I'm glad you came to that realization
I have a """"techy"""" """""""""friend""""""""" who claims that all he needs is his original Moto G. He was mugged and is now replacing it with some pos Windows Phone someone sold him for cheap because "this is all I need for everyday use"

>iphone 8 but inbetween normal and plus (~5.1'')
>latest iphone soc
>headphone jack
>google camera
>no fucking camera bump

Any of you guys excited for the Librem 5?

what does Jow Forums think of xiaomi mi 8 pro

>5"0 inch 16:9 Oled or Sony LCD
>Dual Stereo front facing speakers
>Good camera
>4000 mah battery
>Snapdragon 835
>8gb ram
>Headphone jack
>Usb C
>Micro SD slot
>No branding
>Paranoid Android as stock rom

Rate my idea

>paranoid android
you deserve 2500 FPS to the face

Ok, I was guessing it was from Amazon. You see, with certain phone models Amazon sells an "Prime Exclusive" version which are sold at a discount compared to the regular version but come with pre-installed Amazon apps. And as you discovered, the bootloader cannot be unlocked on these Prime Exclusive phones meaning no root or custom ROMs. If you had bought the Moto G6 elsewhere you could have unlocked it without issues. Not everh phone sold on Amazon is Prime Exclusive though.

What's your budget? The Moto G6 can be bought for $199 through Google Fi, you're not required to activate it on Google Fi, just take the SIM out and use it on Verizon.

Guys seriously help me out here, redmi note5 or A2 lite?

Redmeme

>Sub 5.0 inch phone
>no notch but slim bezels like a Sony or Samsung
>reinforced nylon or polycarbonate body over a magnesium frame
>waterproof with a headphone jack

Attached: 1DCDF0BF-56D0-4DA6-956B-59D024F96EFC.jpg (680x453, 54K)

Sadly the release just got delayed. Also, it will hardly be available worldwide and the pricing isn't exactly affordable either. Who knows about global availability.

A2. MiUi will make you wanna kys.

I love my G6
>sleek, modern styling with unobtrusive logos (the raised one on the g5 is ugly)
>bezels aren't too bad
>2:1 display
>fingerprint reader navigation means more screen space
>inexpensive
>SD card up to 128GB
>USB-C

the camera is pretty shitty and it doesn't have NFC, but I really like it

Good thing these aren't sold anywhere outside of the US most likely and are already overpriced to high heavens.

wish there was some kind of Jow Forums app recommendation list for android i could browse

what?

>top and bottom are almost as big as the screen itself
I don't want to be notched but they could've done it better. The S9 is so much prettier.

Is it really that bad? How does the camera and hardware compare between them? I don't really trust the reviews so it's much better to get comments from personal experience?

Practically the same, but MiUi will make you go mad. and then you'll have to start unlocking bootloaders and flashing roms and doing all that shit just to have your phone working.
Seriously, it's ain't worth it.

Gcam is the answer. It's drastically better than most pre-installed camera software at this point, but that didn't use to be the case until recently. Don't worry, custom ROMs are easier to install than ever.

It is much better now in MIUI 10. And you also have a ton of custom ROMs available. SD636 in Redmi Note 5 is much faster than the SD625 in Mi A2 Lite and the cameras are better too. No notch either.

>845
>18:9
>5.4"
>no notch and slim bezels
>one handed use
>1080p/1440p
>good camera
>£450

thanks user! Will try this.

Attached: 1494785155468.jpg (351x351, 23K)

What does that even mean

It's the same as the mi8 explorer edition just cheaper and without the see through back.
Both of these phones are the same specs as the regular mi8 though except you get the in screen fingerprint reader and there's the option for 8gb ram if you need that much.

Anyone actually own a Poco F1? How's the audio?

I don't know anything about phones. Thinking about switching from an iphone 6 to a mi mix 2.
Can I just take the sim card out of the iphone and put it into the new phone?

Attached: 1483547033599.jpg (645x968, 47K)

i need a new phone, can wait a month. should i get

>pixel 3 xl
>s9+
>OP6T
>iphone xs

all are around the same price (the iphone is a couple hundred dollars more though). i care more about performance than anything else

i don't play games on my phone or any heavy CPU-use apps

Welp, phone is fubar now and I need a replacement. I have to get a new one within the week, any advice on what I should get to replace it?

>Country: US
>Carrier: AT&T
>Budget: Under $300
Old phone was a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. I basically just want something similar to what I already have, but within what I can spend right now. No shitty batteries or god-awful cameras, and preferably something with a nice screen.

should i get a pixel?

env3

Can someone confirm to me that the Galaxy Note 9 512gb versions are backordered for anyone else? I ordered one two weeks ago and it still telling me that I should be expecting it 2 months from now.

The real kick in the head is, if you check any phone carriers site it says that they're in stock (T-Mobile for me)

Wtf is up with this shit?

Attached: 1527601551763.png (1366x768, 518K)

>XS Max
>In-display fingerprint scanner
>No notch
>Type C & 3.5mm
>No camera hump
>Back to metal back
>Less than 1,100 fucking dollars

Is this too much to ask?

Thoughts on JerryRigEverything and his tests?

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

Quality guy. Quality commentary. Quality shit. No complaints all compliments

HTC M7 here, should i buy a new one or just replace the battery?

Or Nokia 8 if you want stock android.

>tfw when you want to buy pixel 2, but it has no headphone jack.

Attached: cry.png (1280x720, 1.04M)

Spot on. Same here.

I also love how he exposes when manufacturers (i.e. Applel) lie about what they have in their products.

>10h 21m
Come for the keyboard, stay for the battery life.

I know this isn't the place. But holy shit I cannot flash Lineage on my LG G6 US997.

Help a brainlet out

>$300
>1080p oled panel
>decent camera
>x2 usb c, x1 3.5mm
>micro sd card slot
>full aluminum chassis
>4500 mah battery
>complete stock android
>no front facing camera or notch

any good soc monitor app for android?
my phone seeems to be overheating and i would like to see if the soc workload is related to the problem

go to xda forums they have instructuons

Thinking about getting a OnePlus 6. Any downsides or reasons not to do it?

Other than lack of expandable storage it seems great to me. And I worry the screen size (6.28") might be too big but I can probably deal with that.

yeah if theyre the same sim size

I wish chinkphone would ship fast. Says it is at LAX still.

other than 6t releasing in 1 month no

Confiscated by customs

Too bad you are handlets

Why is Motorola putting their logo on the chin, wtf

>perfect smartphone
>midrange

It's just because it was the weekend.

Attached: 1537021560214.jpg (280x280, 15K)

is the mi mix 2s worth the extra hundred bucks or so over the mi mix 2?

Yes

How would anyone know when they're not announced?

I'm in the same boat. Was leaning towards 6t but if they remove the jack I'm not sure then. Might just get the 6 instead. LG V40 is another good one coming next week.

What's Jow Forums's approved phone?

Honestly, all I want is pretty much a samsung s phone with a flat screen and a battery that doesnt degrade to shit after 3 months of using it. I don't give a shit about stock android or having mild bloatware or anything I'm a simple man

Attached: samsung_s7_web4.jpg (770x578, 21K)

S10 will have a flat screen

I want a new ringtone /spg/, I'm tired of the "Mi" and related sounds and I feel that's a dumb thing to get a "popular" one that's related to other brands, like the old Motorola/Nokia or even iPhone ringtone.
Halp.

I heard that rumor, but I doubt Samshit will ever fix their battery problems, but I guess there is hope that one day their phones will be good
