>bentium for :DDDDD I have a special appreciation for people who buy a shit product (in this case, one of the Jow Forums meme housefires) and stick with them, continuing to use them when all the zoomers have fucked off to the newest flavour-of-the-month PIII refresh.
Xfce is vastly superior in every way. And why saving a few MB of RAM, when a single browser tab will use around 0.2 GB..?
And KDE is just slow (besides ugly and messy). Why wait for ~1 sec. to load a bloody menu?
Tyler Wood
necause having to use a program to clear up a fault of a DE is ridiculous when LXDE, LXQt, and MATE are vastly superior to XFCE, and if you have the system resources to use KDE plasma, you might as well use the best aesthetic DE if it soothes the 'tism
Nathaniel Perry
Tell me one single aspect that makes LXDE or LXQt superior to Xfce? Besides a few MB of RAM...
MATE is cool but has less to offer than Xfce overall.
Parker Wright
Better GNOME integration.
Christian Reyes
And which "program" are you talking about?
Ryder Cox
are you shitting me? LXDE is literally the same as XFCE when it comes to custimization, it's way more stable, and doesn't need Compton to prevent screen tearing, LXQt isn't on the same level of customization as either LXDE or XFCE, but it is stable and just werks MATE has a good amount of custimization and is as stable as it gets Compton, or did you forget already?
Kevin Thomas
Explain. I've never had any problem with any GNOME app on Xfce, and Xfce has just so many more features than those...
John Reyes
Never needed to use Compton. Xfwm4 has worked just fine for me for the last 10 years on 4 laptops.
> LXDE is literally the same as XFCE when it comes to custimization Bullshit, it's like a 90s Xfce
Leo Martinez
You are probably too young to remember when XFCE started making their own automounters and bloated shit instead of just using the GNOME ones, but a lot of people stopped using Thunar when they shit up the dependencies.
Isaiah Gray
>bullshit how the fuck would you know since you've been using XFCE for the last ten years?
Thomas Hughes
I do remember, but you are talking about stuff that happened years ago. Thunar works just fine now.
Jack Cooper
I tried every DE in existence multiple times for the last few years.
Owen Sanders
And I use LXDE on 2 VMs. LXDE is cool, but not as a daily drive
Justin Thompson
