Building VR app for paint stores

Hey guys, help me out by throwing few ideas my way.
I am building VR app to help costumers select the paint color for their home/office.

So far i have a color pallet, ability to read color samples, ability to change time of the day + temperature of the lights (bright white, soft light, daytlight)

We can also change paint gloss, and recently, paint accent walls in different color.

Here is a quick 1 minute video of all the features.

Any feedback is welcome! Thank you!

That looks quite nice. Wonderful idea. Calibration will probably be difficult.

sell them the service to generate a VR environment from their actual home either with a 360 panorama or from the floor plan.

What kind of headset are you using? Couldn't tell.

Came here to say this.
In print, color accuracy is a very important thing. Not sure if that's the case with paint that much.

You may want to consider POLITELY asking as well.
They likely have more VR experience.

Are those heels uncomfortable? They look extra tall. Cute hair btw.

Thank you! This is on the to-do list as well. Though the floor plan idea.

I agree, this was the main challenge, we got the RGB color code of the paint samples, but then we had to adjust everything to the actual screen.

It was difficult being on the stage, in VR, with a stage fear, and not fall

So long as they suggest a specific device, the calibration should be standard across it. Right?

Like if they say "recommended use with the HTC Vive" and they target that.

Or have a range of color correction profiles for various devices, kind of like how some image editing software does with monitor color profiles.

Judging by the demo though, I'm guessing this will be an in-store thing anyway, not a download it yourself thing.
