Are there any swipe keyboards for android that don't collect much/any data?

No

ok

I use simple keyboard from fdroid
Its like dwm but a keyboard for android

Everything on Android collects data. Put your phone in the trash where it belongs.

This and this

Sadly, this isn't possible 100% of the time. But how do I wish I could de-botnet myself.

the sony xperia keyboard from the m4
i disabled this retarded swiftkey they forced down my throat on my xz premium and installed the m4 keyboard apk

Sure it is. Stop thinking you need the fucking internet/connections everywhere you go. Don't rely on the internet after you've already left for information, plan ahead. And if you need to communicate, there are plenty of places to do it within easy access distance of wherever you are. Hell, worse comes to worse, flag down a fucking idiot with a smartphone and ask to use it for a minute.

We existed for an eternity before phone cancer became a thing and we were just fine. We also had payphones, something that definitely needs to make a fucking comeback.

Your favourite keyboard + AfWall

The best non-botnet keyboard is AnySoftKeyboard. It's free (as in freedom) and is open source.

Literally this.
I've used SwiftKey for years like this.

It doesn't have swipe though, right?

All of them if you block internet access. Although you can't download language packs for them in that case if you need them.

>Although you can't download language packs for them in that case if you need them.
This. You should download all of the language packs and themes you'll need on the first run, and then block the internet access.
If you decide later that you need a new language, first delete the app data, then give it internet access.

I don't know if this is true of other keyboards as well, but SwiftKey will literally keep all of the mined data ready to send everything to Micro$oft as soon as it gets a glimpse of internet.

Botnet aside what is the best swipe keyboard?

I'm scared to get rid of my convenience, how do you do it user?

>Hell, worse comes to worse, flag down a fucking idiot with a smartphone and ask to use it for a minute.
I don't know where do you live but this is a really bad advice and huge red flag.

Google keyboard is unironically pretty good, ninkey/keyboard69 is great if you never type with one hand

What about the aosp keyboard?

I wish keyboard 69 had better word prediction. I feel all the speed of it is lost because of how often I have to go back and delete words and replace them with what I actually wanted to say.

Had to do it multiple times even to type this

aosp stock keyboard looks like gboard but no botnet and missing some stuff

If you do nothing illegal, you have nothing to hide. You cares if Google knows you like frosted flakes, Monster Energy drinks, and cuck porn.

>We also had payphones, something that definitely needs to make a fucking comeback.

Biodegradable one-use phones when?
Also checked.

it hurts me how good gboard actually is

This but with netguard if you don't want to root

Is this after getting proper practice and also after using it for long enough to train it up on your speech patterns? I personally never stuck with it for any significant amount of time, but if so, that's good to know because on paper it sounds really good.

Personally I've never seen a better autocorrect than on Minuum. Their statistical model is top notch. I usually type on the collapsed one set to minimum height (which basically means all the letters are just in a single line) and I seldom have to go back and change what it says, except for some really similar words like if, of, and or.
Meanwhile Fleksy has the best QoL features (swiping up/down to scroll through the autocorrect's suggestions - including undoing an autocorrect by swiping up once; press and hold then aim and release to input a symbol rather than first aim and press the strictly correct key, hold, and pray the press registered correctly; a number row - granted Minuum has a numpad which is fantastic but having to switch to the number/symbol layer to enter a couple of digits even in full-size mode is just ridiculous) and my ideal keyboard would be a combination of the two.
