how unsafe are windows and office activators? I got a windows copy for free so now I want my pc to be pure for the first time but I also need office and I can't afford it. Have any of these crackers ever been caught doing naughty things?
Henry Diaz
pc is dead but I want to figure out what part to replace it keeps randomly just powering off/restarting while its running, no bsod tested ram and hdd all seems fine did fresh Windows install and still happening it also sometimes just freezes completely but doesnt crash it does show bios screen etc, one time it froze on this screen though and I had to switch power off whats most likely the issue? cpu?
Dominic Phillips
A bit risky if you get it off public torrent sites like thepiratebay, but it's fine if you get it from mydigitallife, see the pastebins in the OP
>whats most likely the issue? cpu? that's usually the last thing to go, I'm guessing power supply or graphics card. run FurMark/whatever benchmark to see if stressing it causes a crash, and try swapping the power supply if at all possible, or bringing it to an IT repair shop and use theirs if you don't have one.
>visit website >close "pls disable adblock" >close "pls join our mailing list" >close "pls accept my cookies" What to you guys use to stop this crap?

Its been over a week starting at around 8 PM my internet goes to dog shit (1 Mbps). This lasts all night until about 12 in afternoon next day then I finally get normal speeds. WTF is going on and how can I troubleshoot this myself? Its only affecting my download speed not my upload. I want to figure out the problem myself before I call my ISP. I dont think its throttling since its unusably slow
What is a decent game boy emulator for ubuntu that has no gui and I don't have to fucking compile myself?
I tried retroarch and the linux version is a gimped version of the windows one because "linux users are dumb and instead of making it so it doesn't fuck up your system we just took it out. fuck you"
I need a quick ffmpeg command line to turn a huge .MOV file out of a camera into a decently sized (think scene rips) .mkv, can anyone help?

Is there a way to disable a key on a chromebook? A drop of water fell into my keyboard and now the windows go fullscreen 7 times a second, I don't have money to fix the keyboard right now but I want to keep using it, someone please help.

>graphics card please god no that will be an expensive replacement I have another psu I can test with later on I'll see if that helps
Carson Gray
Well it can't hurt to run the benchmark and find out at the very least.
It appears that when extracting the rotational angles from a Transformation matrix like this, the angles that are returned are always compared against the following
X = 1,0,0 Y = 0,1,0 Z = 0,0,1
Can anyone explain why that is and if it is possible to modify these particular vectors into arbitrary reference vectors?
Thanks.
Camden Morris
cant run benchmark, computer crashes within a couple mins of startup now even if I do nothing mobo has no onboard graphics either
Zachary Hall
does disabling cores give you a heat advantage to overclock more... obviously not talking about in a big case but in a small SFFPC like ghost S1 where you only have 68mm high CPU cooler.
would disabling cores and clocking the ones left on higher help?
or even in a case with only a 45mm cpu cooler like Dan A4 case. obviously talking about gaming.
Colton Martinez
why does ublock origin constantly stop working on chrome canary
Hudson Martinez
can you remove the graphics card and see if anything changes
Asher Taylor
no onboard graphics I literally wont be able to see if anything changes could only guess based on how much noise the fans make
Parker Bell
maybe you will notice it anyway if it crashes? listen in

My private Firefox window can't seem to view any of the images on Sankaku channel, any idea why? Disabling adblocker doesn't fix it, going to the image URL directly also gives the redirect banner. Non-private Firefox and Edge, Chrome work fine.
Don't be bothered by the paranoid schizophrenics on this board. Just use Gmail.

Too late. I've spend the last hour thinking up a username for my new protonmail account.

Honestly look into replacing your battery. Just replaced my mid 2010 unibody battery for $30.

When should I use inheritance vs making an object inside the class? For example, I made a spell checker and I want to make another class that takes input and checks all text with the spell checker. Should I use inheritance to inherit the spell checker or should I make a spell checker object inside the class?
Sorry hard to explain for me

If you're going from and Nvidia card to an Nvidia card then the card should just plug and play. When you reinstall the driver, the software should have a checkbox for a fresh installation.
Jackson Brown
i'm drunk but the where condition doesn't feel right
Christian Cooper
You do you, boo
Andrew Cook
If the relationship between 2 objects can be described as an "A is a B" then use inheritance, otherwise don't
i.e a Dog is an Mammal, Mammal an Animal a Triangle is a Shape
Samuel Gomez
That song is trash, holy shit.
Ethan Thomas
Dependency inject it

probably need more info about what the second class is to say for sure this sounds like something that should not use inheritence though
is ccCleaner or similar software worth using if you run windows 7 with an HDD or is it just placeboware also is there a similar software that's open source?
anyone have a good recommendation for a media center OS? My old laptop tends to overheat when using a full OS like ubuntu or windows, but I had success with xubuntu. I want something that is a more sleek media center, but to still be able to access services like netflix and hulu rather than just local or network drives.
Lucas Cook
The sound is not played, I'm on Xubuntu, what can I try to make it work and play?
it's mostly placebo for ocds that get their jimmies rustled by empty folders and other leftover shit that serves no purpose but doesn't actually slow anything down
Ryder Sullivan
Well shit, are there any other good email hosts?
Jonathan Thompson
rustles my jimmies,so should I use ccCleaner? not that keen on them since speccy was compromised a while back and they share a parent company
Jack Foster
It's alright for removing temp files, but don't use the registry cleaner.
Jacob Ward
registry cleaner is a given, quick path to fuckmyshitup city
Isaac Brown
check out dism++
rockstor works oob and with their plugins you should be able to do everything you want.
Brandon Hall
the input class just takes the input and processes it so it can be sent to the spell checker it takes input as either a string of text or a file, sends the words to the spell checker and returns the misspelled words
Should I use inheritance so the input class is inherited the dictionary or should I keep them separate and just make the object inside the input class?

I have a 1080p display with 16:10 aspect ratio. Can someone explain why Nvidia Shadowplay records a 1728x1080 resolution if I have 1080p selected as a target res in Shadowplay options, and it records properly @1920x1200 if my target res is set to 1440p or higher?

I want to download torrent to my main PC while I'm not at home, but I don't really want to use something like teamviewer just for that, or if I need to use something that big, I'd prefer something open source. So, is there any way to send an RSS to myself or something to download a torrent on my main PC remotely? I am using Deluge with an auto add RSS plugin that will check for shanaproject's RSS and auto download shit.
John Young
Thank you. If I understand correctly 3M is the bitrate and 720 the resolution, right? What about audio?
Camden Smith
Can you update windows 10 from lets say 1667 to the newest build with an USB?
I dont feel like waiting 2 days for the shitty piece of shit windows update to finish downloading shit so I got the newest iso and want to install it from USB without losing data
Is that even possible?
Matthew Williams
deluge has a webui, just have to set it up so you can access it from outside the home network and bookmark the address
Samuel Gutierrez
Yes Yes Normally source audio is fine enough to just add, USE c:a copy, unless its some unrealistic record value then just use c:a libvorbis
Josiah Cruz
Back up your porn and install 8.1 with classic shell. 10 users aren't worthy of sympathy.

So does Transmission and qBittorrent, by the way.

I use uBlock Origin on Chrome, but I've now started to get Ads on >IGN all of a sudden
Can anyone check if they're getting ads on this site? uk.ign.com ?
No ads here on Chrome Canary and UblockOrigin Dev. Are you filters updated?
Austin Hughes
it soundslike those perform two distinct functions so its better not to inherit the input reader class should have a spellchecker object instance and use it to spellcheck inputs
Kevin Nelson
For me it goes like this:
1) upload resume 2) get a lot of emails asking to talk on the phone 3) talk to HR-type person for 10-30 minutes 3.5) nail down time for phone or in-person interview 4) 40-80 minute phone or in-person interview with team leads and/or CEO and/or hiring manager and/or HR person, etc. 5) get phone and email follow up after interview from HR person saying how great it went and how impressed everyone was 6) a few days later get phone call and/or email "we're moving forward with an offer, you should hear from us in a few days..." 7) get offer email in a few days
Zachary Murphy
Anyone do this?
>set umatrix to block all javascript by default
I'll demo it out for a few days. It's so surreal being able to load bullshit news sites in .1 seconds.

whats is minimum or recommended hardware for browsing in 2018?
my current is 2gb ddr3 and 1,45ghz base and 1,92ghz turbo but most of the time its stays at 1,67ghz anyways browsing on this machine is a pain in the butt
Jeremiah Peterson
Install ublock origin and umatrix. Figure out how umatrix works because blocking extraneous scripts from running improves web browsing a lot.

I want get a monitor or cheap TV and mount it on my wall, and use it to do nothing but display a to do list/organizer/calendar or whatever that I can update through my phone throughout the day. Would a raspberry pi be my best best to do this?

You forget the part of being called in interview with devs to whiteboard some problems. After that, you get to have another meeting right after with some Hiring Manager on your personality fit.

Hello /sqt/, I'm coding for the first time and these "shebang" things aren't working for me. For example, if I want to run a Helloworld in Ruby, I currently need to do: $ ruby helloworld.rb and I was taught by an O'Reilly book that #! /bin/ruby at the first line of my Ruby code would make it run if I just typed "helloworld.rb" into the terminal. It just says that the command is not found. Typing $ which ruby returns /bin/ruby what else do I need to do in order to get these shebangs to work?
Are you executing it from the folder with the script in it or from somewhere else? If its not the script folder, you need to add it somewhere in your $PATH,such as $HOME/.bin Also binaries are located in /usr/bin now. /bin/ is just a symlink.
Christian Lee
How do I add things to my PATH? I remember seeing that as an install option for software when I was using Windows, but I took it for granted.
Aaron Cook
Edit your .bashrc/.zshrc, its should have your $PATH already in it, just add the folder to it then reload the terminal
Chase Rogers
Apparently TRIM doesn't work over USB. So does that mean that a Windows to Go setup is going to inevitably slow way down as soon as all the free space has been overwritten once?
