He still uses grub

>he still uses grub
What's your excuse

Redpill us user, I'm sick of having to manually select windows 7 from the bios because grub won't detect it

looks gay

I have legacy bios on my chinkpad

that looks even uglier than grub, is it customisable?

I don't need half a dozen operating systems installed and a flashy boot menu.

>is it customisable?
Yes. There are even icon packs for it.

This. Run the OS that's optimal for you and virtualize anything else.

>yo I heard you like to bootstrap so I put a bootstrap in your bootstrap
can u bootstrap that bootstrapper?

doesn't support encrypted /boot

It's customisable. When I was using a MacBook I changed icons, etc.

It was long ago before I got redpilled, now I'm using a Windows laptop running Linux.

I see no problems with grub, it has interesting boot options and command line, this thing is reasonable only for macs.

do u even distro?

grub just werks and i reboot like once a month anyway

>not using syslinux
B L O A T

Oh yeah, you really need a pretty looking boot menu that you spend 10 seconds on.
Fucking ricing faggots are retarded.

I just use systemd-boot

cringe and bluepilled

Not an argument.

The last graphic boot menu I used was burg and it was a crap.

I don't want Windows back on my T420.

But I don't user, I'm using a signed kernel EFIstub with secure boot turned on.

um yes sw*ety

I could never get syslinux to boot properly. GRUB2 just werks.

> he uses a grub fork

I dont understand how any of it works but grub just werks as it came with my distro.

But I use silo. Grub won't work on my OpenBoot/OpenFirmware-based machines

I fuck up my system pretty often and the build in userland is handy

>os-prober

Then use syslinux.

BIOS: syslinux
UEFI: systemd-boot, refind...

> Easy BCD

>refind
>void linux
>musl
is this the neo-linux experience? cus i'm enjoying it

>not using elilo

This

>not using SELINUX as a seabios payload on a corebooted x220 for maximum speed.

is there any reason to not use systemd-boot(assuming of course you're using a systemd distro)

But i don't

Why would you need more than 2 operating systems on a computer? Make up your mind.

Looks like bloat to me.

>implying

no u

You have two options:
if you use systemd: systemd-boot
no systemd: EFISTUB
anything else is bloat

systemd-boot is good, it comes with all systemd distros so no need to install packages. The config files are like 5 lines and dual booting is easy. Havent had to touch them since I installed. it just works however Jow Forums hates it because muh systemd is evil meme

GRUB2 as a payload > *

I'm using a custom bootsector that overwrites all the other sectors on the disk.

I don't own a apple computer

>a apple
an* apple
fucking linux

shit

I just use Clover, which is basically a further developed version of rEFInd that also allows you to boot macOS.

>10 seconds
What are you doing in your bootloader? Does it take for you 10 seconds to read name of operating system you wanna boot?
