>I'm an adult
I'm an adult
Just buy a case without a window if it bothers you. I agree it looks gay, but you can either do that or choose another product.
Who the FUCK uses this and why
good taste coming though
not bad. Not as good looking as pic related though.
>motherboards are an issue of "taste"
Yikes
>Caring that people buy things that you wouldn't buy.
You sure are an adult OP
Just lol if your motherboard doesn't have sick ass guns on it
You guys are like little babies, watch this.
Not my fault the only hardware that isnt full of gay ass leds are either:
>Useless low end hardware
>ultra expensive server grade hardware
These weebs.
>Pathetic
that much ram should be redistributed to the less privileged
>useless low end hardware
That's why I post pics of that damn UD3 board whenever the subject of mobos is at hand, because that is what a motherboard should look like, high end, black, not a gaming motherboard but is totally capable of it, cheap, just an all around good board, that isn't inspired by stuff some zoomer watched on linustechtips.
yeah no one wants that POS DDR2 pile of shit
refined aesthetics coming through.
functionality nowhere to be found
Excuse me while I whip this out
Based just because it looks like something CAT would make
Can someone explain why you would want to shell out for a fancy mobo? What's the advantage over a shitty one?
Kinda wish motherboards where like this again especially with natural copper heatsinks but at the very least change all the plastic connectors and PCB color to something neutral
oh I've googled it and as i understand it there is no fucking point at all.
I liked Gigabyte's mobos that looked like that. Shit's easy to spot unlike
Same here, Core 2 was my favorite era of computing, I also love the io on that, all these new gaymen boards don't have dick for io.
If you are a normal PC user, there's no point. But higher up, you can get some better features
>more and faster USB ports (e.g., gen 3.1)
>more expansion slots
>better VRM if you want to overclock
You know you can turn the LEDs off right?
integrated wireless
ur using it, but ur trying to hide it
why are you like this?
It's not just about the LEDs user, the prices of high end chipset board like X470 is artificially inflated due to the gaymen LEDs.
There is somewhat of a point, if you want the best VRMs you can get you have to shell out, you do get more IO. There is no reason to spend $200+ on a motherboard for 99% of people but at the same time cheaping out like hell on a motherboard gets you no where.
Personally all I need is a somewhat decent VRM, OCable chipset, Intel based Ethernet and a decent enough amount of USB ports in general (don't even need USB3) and that is serviced fairly well by $100-$120 motherboards
That's why it's in the recycle bin
As expensive as that is, it's a fucking beauty.
Better IOMMU support.
What's the matter kids, scared you'll be owned by a superior gamer?
>tfw that thing with an X5690 would actually kick everyone's ass
Who cares? It's going to be inside of your PC for its entire lifetime, you'll be doing the real work on your computer. People who care about PC part aesthetics are dumb, you literally won't see it. What's next? Obsessing over zipper designs? Who gives a fuck
thats just RGB for boomers.
Nigga, it's got an off switch.
That literally looks like a lego set
fuckin rights boys
Is X58 not the best platform of all time?
All RGB LED boards have a setting that might appeal to you. It's called "LEDs off" or "black".
truly a monster
>when you launch your first motherboard but has to change the price from 300 USD to 250USD before it's even released because all the techtubers started laughing
>design by NZXT
>engineering by ECS
>white plastic covering everything so it's minimalistic
More like designed by Apple in California, you devil.
works on my machine
Now that's a fucking ryzen board right there, that shit is slick.
is this a thinly veiled guts thread?
Those were the good days
When mobos looked like mobos
>that stupid pcie additional power connector
>all those headers, buttons and post code at the bottom of the board to interfere with a 4th graphics card
asus has such atrocious board layout.
Fuck off gramps.
I hate RBG just like any person with taste but thinking you're more adult because of that makes you look pretty childish.
P R O
R
O
>>that stupid pcie additional power connector
sweetie you need that to have 4 gpu's without melting the traces
I'd say we can post guts, we are talking about motherboards.
Inb4 >shitting on rgb when your rig looks like that
>thinking this quad channel utility board cares about your feelings
rookie mistake, back to the minors for more seasoning
NZXT makes PSUs too
$140 USD FOR A FUCKING 650W GOLD RATED PSU
I can only guess the $50 price hike went towards some bullshit wattage/temp sensors
>fancy looking PSU
>99% of modern cases use shrouds
>can't fit a 2 slot graphics card into the 4th slot without crushing them or having to remove header connectors
Asus is the mistake. Shit board layout is shit.
Get a job you fucking commie
by the time you're putting 4GPUs into a chassis your front panel audio L adapter is the least of your cost concerns.
any more complaints or observations before your bench time is jacked up even more?
Yes you can. I have a X99 WS-E and a X399 Taichi with same layout all with 4 dual slot GPUs on it
Nvidia begs to differ
developer.nvidia.com
not without a right angle usb3.0 connector and the taichi at least has a right angle audio header. something more board makers should use.
Why did single slot graphics card seize to exist?
.
Actual DGX stations don't use reference coolers. They're liquid cooled.
they didn't but plebs don't like vacuum noise
I miss my 8800gt xxx
No one is talking about DGX stations. Devbox uses four Titan X which are dual slot and an Asus X99E-WS which has similar layout to the X299 version. Your argument in was thus invalidated.
>right angle usb3.0 connector
less than $5 on ebay and if you could afford that 4th GPU you could definitely afford that
Not enough heatsink to be able to cool higher end cards and with every motherboard maker assuming a 2 slot card they space out the useful 16x slots so there is even less reason for single slot cards to exist
just mod a normal card and use watercooling
Have you looked at X99E-WS board? It's usb 3.0 headers are not even in remotely the same location.
or the shit board engineers could just design something with a bit more common sense.
pased and redbilled
ddr2 isnt that useless
I wouldn't laugh, a $40 business laptop like the thinkpad T400 or latitude E6400 are way better than a tablet for web browsing.
for 30 minutes at a time unless connected to the wall lmfao
those things render modern sites slower than a $100 chink phone
i wish i had taken the VRM heatsinks off my core2 era boards had like x2 just like that.
they would be optimal on modern boards im looking for a copper one like that for 11cm hole spacing just x1.
I'm still tilted that this is the closest we have to a z370 mobo with a white PCB.
This is the definition of beauty
Does anyone think RGB is a fucking meme?
i think you can turn it off in bios.
my gigabutt ab350m ds3h does.
Why can't Jow Forums let people enjoy things? Are they just bitter they're all poorfag basement dwellers who can't afford having an aesthetic rig?
Fucking commie faggot
I still regret not buying this baby. Even if broke, I could just use it as an art piece.
>PCI Slot
It reminds me of world of warcraft characters before a transmog system was implemented.
I'd boot '95 off that, if you know what i mean
The TR4 version of this is one of the more economical boards for this system, so yes, yes I am.
>All LED's can be disabled in BIOS
I don't see the problem
i had a biostar mobo once, it was trash
>mobo
>looks
if you actually care about anything but the specs you are a giant baby faggot and way more retarded than the gaymers who enjoy rgb shit.
Ok, that's a mobo, so what's your point?
I can't really talk because my first motherboard that I purchased myself had red LEDs all over it. I didn't even know it did but I liked that deep red glow.
R.I.P. ABiT
>R.I.P. ABiT
>my first motherboard
