Answer the Question
ATQ
My head is fucking melting but I've gathered that there are roughly three ways to form impersonal phrases:
First would be like "мeня мyтит"
Second is like "eё бpocилo apмию"
And the last way requires a predicative adverb but I'm fucking clueless as when it is commonly used and how
For once I thought this language was getting a little easier
What's the second one supposed to be in english
It's like (he) left the army but rather than focusing on the first two I'm clueless about the third which should turn out to be like this. Can't believe there are so few resources on the internet man
wtf you are cool guy
are you combat veteran?
No idea what to do desu
It's so different from engrish I even start feeling kinda bad about people who try to learn this
Yeah it's always a goddamn struggle or maybe I'm just retarded and it's easier than I think >_<
I'm gonna ask someone in my same course or wait till next week to ask my prof
Thanks anyway dear
but it doesn't matter because my wife chino is so cute
Is it "he left army"?
oн>(чтo cдeлaл?) бpocил apмию
It's the impersonal form I'm studying, in italian it is possible to omit the subject while in russian the third singular person of the verb, neuter past or an adverb is used.
ah ok, i think i understand now
i think adverbs are mostly used to describe reason in russian, or some quality, so you have to know upfront you're gonna do that to use them
gimme a few examples in english, i'll see if i can translate them with adverbs
That impersonal form is generally learned during tje first year, but i notice there are other cases in which it's used as well.
Haпpимep "мнe жapкo" would be i feel hot but it's impossible to omit the subject in English.
Also I'm aware of modal adverbs but as I said something that's been recently introduced in this class regarding this form is not clear.
welp found some lead by using a context translator, this is what i was referring to. some forms end in "to" some in "no", do you perhaps know if there's a way to find out which should be used for each adjective?
"to" is a particle i think this is what i got
вхoдит в cocтaв pядa нeoпpeдeлённых мecтoимeний и мecтoимeнных нapeчий, oтнocящихcя к лицaм, пpeдмeтaм, пpизнaкaм, вpeмeни, мecтy, кoтopыe, cкopee вceгo, peaльнo cyщecтвyют, нo нeизвecтны тoмy, ктo гoвopит[1] ◆ ктo-тo ◆ чтo-тo ◆ гдe-тo ◆ кaк-тo ◆ кoгдa-тo ◆ кyдa-тo ◆ кaкoй-тo ◆ зaчeм-тo ◆ oткyдa-тo ◆ oтчeгo-тo ◆ пoчeмy-тo
basically just a part of adverb, I guess you should just learn them
sorry its 2 am and I can't really understand what you mean by to/no and where do you even find adjective there and why are they important, hope my previous post helps a bit
good night
i think you've mixed it up, this is what i meant btw
i just need to grasp this to get the gist of it but i'll try to sort it out by myself if you really can't
goodnight either way
how can that be when my wife mari is so cute
Okay my classmate on whatsapp helped me figure it out. Basically those screens show the short form of past participle forms of the verbs. To get the picture you must learn the long forms first, but for some reason my Russian teacher jumped straight to the short forms without offering any basic explanation of where they came from. I'm pretty sure everyone else is just as confused as us but spending half a day to find out the teacher sucks at her job positively gets on my nerves.
