Yup. I'd make a thread since it's my first desktop install in years, but people will accuse me of writing a blogpost.
Anyway, after years of using GTK-based DEs (live and VMs) I see how good Qt KDE is. Stock plasma desktop is no worse than Windows. I had a functional OS with all the software required after one day of searching and it's sleek.
