Congratz on less advanced LEGOs
Give specs

>Phanteks enthoo pro
>Asus z370-a motherboard
>Intel i5 8500
>cooler master hyper 212
>EVGA 450 B3
>Corsair Vengeance 8 gigs DDR4
>Kingston 240gb SSD
>Seagate 2tb hard drive

Still a sort of budget build, I'm getting my card next month. Even though it's big boy Legos, it feels good knowing I actually got it to work.

Nice, but you could've saved 100$ by going for Ryzen 5 2600/X and then have more shekels for a GPU.

>build your first PC instead of inventing it
oh, OP... you're so behind everyone else...

>seagate
user...

these days it's easy mode.

What was building a PC like back in the old days boomer

Nice meme. Are you going to play Fornite, manchild?

Nah, gonna play Mount and Blade and then bannerlord when it comes out desu.

>What was building a PC like back in the old days boomer
Different boomer here, but there were many risks of cuts, and fire.

driver issues

Imagine drawing on your cpu to unlock it.

actually it was easier back then. you bought a card and it worked. no "ololol your PSU doesn't deliver enhough watts" and shit like that. no shitty PWM/nonpwm chasis fan sockets, etc. it was all standardized. no "lol cpu cooler won't work with that high RAM stick". or "gpu is too wide/long for your case". no shitty RGB shit.
i miss the old days. nowadays there's so much to keep in mind when building a rig.

i built my own compiler

>intel
You fucked up

ayymd shills pls go and stay go

Let me guess: you'd recommend a low-end WD that isn't any better, or a high end hdd that costs twice as much?
>inb4 someone posts 6 years old stats for server HDDs

Stop poking me with your nose, goy.

>Pluralising Lego
Stop it, you faggots

My Seagate barracudas have lasted many years.
They either fail within two weeks, or a number of years

You have to manually set the jumpers for the voltages and fsb and it's actually possible to plug the cables in the wrong direction (floppy). Overall, it wasn't that bad.

What gpu are you looking at?

Where are you getting ryzen 5 2600s for $120?

>first pc built
>fans spin
>feel good
>plug in monitor
>nothing
>what
>spend 5 minutes playing with cord
>didn't realize you had to plug it into the gpu instead of the mobo

>CPU and GPU arrived while i was on the shitter
>Fedex tracking says 2 of my parts were a town away at 2pm and the was on the other side of the state at midnight last night
>guys i think i might have to wait until build my first pc tomorrow

you didn't build any of it you just assembled the parts

>first pc built
>fans spin
>fans stop
>no post
>no error code
>wat
>didn't realize you HAD to connect a fan to cpu fan header

>6 threads in 2018

how does intel get away without multithreading on every CPU?

>not stealing macbook pros from dweebs.

Building your own PC is for retards.

>8 gigs
>Seagate

>Asus z370-a motherboard
enjoy your cpu installation tool because snsv thinks you are a fucking brainlet

>Wanting MacBooks
>Not a retard

GTX 1060 6GB desu

You know what he meant captain autism

OP here, I didn't even know there was a tool until I already installed the CPU. Also I like my motherboard because it has pretty LEDs.

Probably with gaming, and software performance.

>Imagine drawing on your cpu to unlock it.

I love pulling out the "back in my day" shit on this one when it comes to overclocking conversations.

Do you even jumper bro...

Is front side bus even a term used these days? Does it still exist?

iktf, did that with my first prebuilt.
>install a dedicated GPU to upgrade from on-board graphics
>"Why does it have it's own VGA port when the motherboard already has one?"
