if I need to connect my computer to the Internet, I browse tethered Wi-Fi via my phones 4G.

Hooked it up to a cable card (video in for a computer) and copied vhs tapes to digital. A friend was retiring to the Phillipines and wanted his home video collection. I sold a laptop to a man who just got a cell phone last year, and loaded up some external drives with video from his vhs and 8mm tapes. I finished about a week ago and he leaves tomorrow from Nashville, I just haven't reconfigured workstation b yet because I started running a data recovery job a few minths ago off the same machine and now I don't want to turn it off.

do you know of a good one that is the same color scheme as my keyboard and monitor but also about the same size as my current case? also i perfer the motherboard to be mounted upside down(compared to most) so that the PCI cards wont be upside down.

i can get 115Hz if i set it to 1024x768, i still havent tried any lower resolutions to see if it can go higher though.
HP does the whole 'opposite side/upsidedown mount' thing if you just wanted an OEM case.
i can also even do 2500x1875@50Hz but that noticably flickers and also the phosphor dots on the inside of the vacuum tube arent small enough for that to really display well.

yeah im not 100% certain they do white, but they DO have that orientation of case in a LOT of their models. Im actually gonna do a lil customizing to an a6000 case i got my hands on to make a Fortnite Potato to sell local for some extra cash (the missus is headed out of town for a con in a few weeks, and want her to pick me up some nice swag).
hmm, is the only way i can get one of the cases is if i have an old HP computer laying around and take everything out of the case?
I'd assume you could just buy a "vintage" computer off of eBay and take its case, but I haven't tried it personally
I know there's still some companies out there making them because a friend of mine had an old-fashioned-looking case at one point, but that was also several years ago so they might be harder to find.

it may happen. try a hardware subreddit, you'd be surprised what you may find. I got mine local from a radio station that got rid of three computers (a fried P4 and two Athlon XPs in Northgate cases). i gutted all three and went from there. even 20 year old cases will take a modern ATX/ITX board - i have a full ATX case in the closet about that big that will do it, and has alternate mount holes for server boards.

do you ever do 3840x240@120 and run old games via retroarch? it looks cool. the blank lines are too sharp though
nah i rarely do that, but whenever i run it at like 640x480 it basically already looks like that
i do 240p with my Pi via Retropie/Retroarch and use a nearest Vertical Integer Shader to properlyu display on my CRT via composite. it's decent, as the composite signal from the Pi (model 1B) is a good one, and a lot less artifacting over composite than i thought there would be.

I had this NF7 with sata ports on my shelf for about 5 years, threw it out, then got a laptop with a athlon 2500+ for free. I got another abit board though, albeit with blown capacitors and no sata ports or ddr ram.
ah oh well, a pentium 3 with 512mb still does 720p on the 32" pretty well
original 8gb hard drive with a 32gb thumb drive and occasionally a 1tb enclosure i pulled out of a scrap laptop

if you have a VGA port on your computer somewhere, then just use it. you could also consider buying a GPU with a VGA port. just dont go buy an active converter though since those have shit color, are always a frame behind(due to converting), and cost like 40$.

Interesting, it doesn't seem to work for combinations though. At least Ctrl+Esc+D doesn't go to the desktop for me like Win+D does.
One thing I've thought about is having a keyboard with no markings on it. You know... kind of like that time they do the spraypaint camo on the keyboard in Hackers. It could actually be useful in a tiny amount of scenarios where you didn't want people using your computer.
I only wonder if I'd forget where some of the more obscure symbols where. Or like Pause/Break etc.

I am actually having trouble plugging in a ssd.
I've tried 3 slots and it wont even show up on bios, tried 2 different cables nothing, but I dont have another PC to test on, I've decided my best option for now is to give up.
