For one I removed most of the intrusive features from launch, and have since then used programs like spyware anti beacon to remove the rest of the things you can't get to. its the Moksha DE, a fork of e17. I tried Win10 and a lot of different 'low powered' distros and they ran like complete dogshit on this hardware (lag, slow switching between programs etc), but this distro (Bodhi 5) runs incredibly well. im not looking to compile a distro from scratch - i want one that has good repo access, a large community for support, and use popular programs. ticked all of the boxes for me! also, im a bit of a trek fan, and like the style of those semi-Canon ships, and this one was a nice variant of the 'classic' design.

Fresh hackintosh. Recommend me MacOS software. I already got the following recommendations in the other thread:

Most of this stuff is just cosmetic and I've found that while good in theory, Redquits interferes with native window management and functionality. Same with xtrafinder. I've used Homebrew before and it sucked and just ended up making a mess of my system when I was using Lion and Mavericks some years ago. The OS X system files and directories seem to be hidden away in Finder so it's difficult to get a feel of how the system is laid out. I have a few scripts and small tools like neofetch that I just tossed into ~/bin which gets exported to my path.

Is iTerm2 any good? I'm struggling to find any software that I need for MacOS. That's not necessarily a bad thing though since everything I need is pretty much there out of the box.

Thanks for reminding me what I'm missing. I need to make myself a new start page to match this OS and theme.
