University gave us pic related. I might as well transport my laptop in a cardboard box.

suggestions, Jow Forums?

What kind of backpack do you use?

your university gave you a backpack? do they assume you aren't capable of learning how to carry your own items? was this part of some sort of welcome pack along with a hardhat and a list of emergency phone numbers? emergency phone numbers inside a little transparent window inside your backpack?

I really want one of these but they cost £85

Attached: CF9C_7FU_hero.jpg (638x745, 110K)

I have a samsonite backpack and it's pretty comfy.

if your backpack looks like it obviously has a laptop to expensive camera in it chance of it being stolen or you getting mugged increased by like 10000%

use some cheap as shit backpack that looks ugly as fuck and not /fa/

>pic related
I think it's one of the university's business partners shoveling gear for Targus(TM)
My greatest concern is the backpack actually fucking my laptop up, they literally told me that bringing a textbook and food is "overloading" and damaging my laptop.

>What kind of backpack do you use?
None, but was thinking of getting a pelican laptop backpack.

Aer.

My co-worker uses Targus backpack on the construction site for carrying tools and other equipment. It is more durable than I expected. It is really not a bad backpack, great price/quality ratio.

Personally I use Wisport Sparrow 30 and Deuter Gigant but I don't think you'll be interested in those. I just use neoprene case to avoid scratches and never cared about "overloading" my laptop. It is still working for years.

Look for a tactical bp with molle system

fjallraven raven 28

something osprey

Samsonite Avant, best I ever had.

got this for free working as a janitor, maintenance people who were breaking down office's in NYC found a whole stash left behind since companies find it cheaper to just leave stuff and buy new at their next office - it's held up really well for 3 years of use. ignore the blizzard stuff, kids at the school i work at gave them to me since they know i'm a loser gamer. the bsg pin is mine though, so say we all

ITT: Retards who like niggers putting their hands in their backpack pockets (and in their women) while they aren't looking.
An anti-theft backpack is the only rational choice if you spend time among strangers (public transport, cafeterias, untrustworthy colleagues, etc).

Why not just boobytrap your backpack with a live grenade??

Problem solved.

I would if I could afford a backpack.

or just live somewhere that doesn't suck (aka not a big city)

>have pickpockets in my city
>"hmm what should I do?"
>"should I spend a hundred bucks on a backpack that would solve the problem immediately?"
>"nah, just leave your whole life behind and move to a rural community so that you won't ever have to deal with lousy things like thieves or employment"

>Dakine
Sexy, and mine has lasted through 5.5 years of school and still near perfect condition

I use this camera bag. laptop sleeve is well-padded, fits up to 15" iirc. bottom compartment is great for camera usage but also works as separate trays to put various electronics and cables and shit. I use it for travelling too, it fit my laptop, charger, phone charger, portable hard drive, Nikon D5100 and lens, charger for that, 3DS XL and charger, as well as a notebook and various other things. the insides are reconfigurable too, I've been able to fit nearly a dozen books to return to the library, and one trip it fit close to 70 doujins (and my laptop).

also has a rain cover which is pretty slick.

Or just move to the suburbs and avoid public transportation.

get a 30-40 liter osprey bag and thank me later

Pay the money. I have pic related, worth it.

Attached: surgeII.jpg (337x440, 31K)

I used pic related for around 8 years I think.

So durable, makes me comfy, makes the laptop comfy, I pack it with clothes too when I am traveling, I just put everything inside it.

I am a third worlder and I feel comfortable carrying it around since it is not too obvious that it is carries a laptop inside.

Your is solid too... if I had it I won't buy another backpack.

Some Wenhao thing I picked up in Beijing a few years ago for like £8. It's fine. I can put my N3DSXL, T470, a few textbooks and notebooks, pencil case and a few other things. Only time I've felt like it needs to be bigger is when I came back from a year abroad but that rarely happens so it's big enough for day to day business.

I take public transport every day and have done for years and I've never had anything stolen.

t. European who has no crime on or off public transportation

well yeah I don't live in a third world country

>what are gypsies?

feels good not have stealing shits here. basically no crime, ever. thank dog i wasn't born outside europe.

>at uni with 400+ students in one room
>15 mins break
>a lot of people go outside to enjoy the break
>everything is just left on the tables, $2000+ macbooks/surfaces/thinkpads, bags, everything
>nothing is ever stolen
it's about mentality. love yurop.

>he doesn't always keep his eye on the nigger
literal NPC

Been looking at this on Amazon. I want to get a sleeve as well, but to find anything that fits something like MSI GT75 TITAN-055 17.3" and actually keeps water out has turned into quite the task. I wish this shit was easier to go through. I just want a half decent waterproof backpack and sleeve, is that too much to ask? Apparently, it is.
Not nearly low profile enough.

Attached: Everki Titan Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Backpack Fits Up to 18.4-Inch Laptops (EKP120).jpg (1500x1500, 266K)

Agreed. Northface makes solid backpacks.

Attached: backpack.jpg (251x300, 10K)

This apparently has next to no padding at the bottom, so it's not great for heavier laptops. Especially not for the price. And the search continues.

$10 on Amazon. 33 colors to choose from. If you use it a lot it will rip so just buy 2

Attached: 81fr7o80ylL._SL1500_.jpg (846x1500, 163K)

Pretty simple, small and cheap.

Attached: sumdex-261.jpg (600x600, 177K)

You are making it extremely obvious you have never lived/worked in a large city. Why would you sit in your car for 1.5 hr instead of take a 30 min traffic free train ride? Traffic in big cities is ridiculous.

>Not nearly low profile enough.
They have different models on xd-design.com

Attached: p705571_2.jpg (408x408, 12K)

A regular backpack plus a laptop sleeve. I don't really need that much pockets and I can put some clothes in it when I am going on a 2-3 day trip. The only tech I carry besides the laptop is a charger cable, the mouse and phone charger plus microusb cable

Attached: puma pioneer backpack ii 073391-01 black.jpg (2000x2000, 264K)

It has a nice laptop compartment. Though I use a laptop sleeve for extra protection

Any good 15" laptop backpacks that also have space for a few clothes, a small lunchbox, a pair of shoes. That can also be used for jogging?

Wish my uni gave me free shit.

That's pretty nice of those kids.

still havent found a backpack as big for the $30 i paid for it in 2013

Attached: jansport air cure.jpg (411x510, 33K)

y'all niggas don't use briefcases

"free" usually means you pay for it through different channels than just the straight up price.

also it usually means it's shit
hence "free shit"

Yeah, uni straight up told me that normal use of the backpack will result in my screen getting a line in it.

That's what I call innovative design!

the same one I've been using since 2009.

Member of Linux kernel dev team spotted.

I have this too

nice ad you got there.
started seeing this shit on ig a year ago. have to say it did not really blow up mate. i heard it gets fucked and tears quite easily. the built in battery is a joke.

You can buy any antitheft backpack. The one in the picture is just the most popular as far as I know so it was the most appropriate to post.

Backpacks are for scum.

literally any swiss gear backpack
best $60 i ever spent.

>the weak ass padding on the straps, no back support
no thanks

Literally the padding in both the straps and back is STRONK.

It is stylish and practical. Shut up liberal.

>kills thieves and destroys your possessions with them
user...

i still use the same backpack i got 10 years ago.
it's full of holes and those ive patched it eventually breakdown after a year or two. still love it though, doesn't make my back feel like shit from how soft, used and abused it has been. had to change the zippers a few times as well
>why dont you buy a new one
not much money left in the account of a broken down uni drop out who works at a call centre

Rucksacks with no laptop padding on the bottom really piss me off

I have an obnoxious red and white wonky looking big ass backpack i got from a blood donation thing when i was like 12, had it for 20 years and it's still going strong.
Waitfags will win the backpack war.

It's pretty expensive though

>breaks in a lecture
>students ""taking notes"" on their laptops
Okay, tyrell

just because it never happened to you it doesn't mean it can never happen.
Even just the peace of mind is worth it IMO, but maybe I'm too paranoid.

Attached: dicota.jpg (300x300, 10K)

this is fine, overpriced but it's a comfy backpack. The brown parts on mine are black so I don't look like a pretentious hipster. Hasn't killed my laptop but it's a t450s so pretty sturdy

Is there padding on the bottom or the laptop is only protected by that leather thing when you put it on the ground?

Based and chinkpilled

>99 caliphate bucks
>similar one from AliExpress is $27 freedom credits

Breaking 15 minutes of every hour is literally a centuries old tradition.

>No breaks in school/university
Absolute state of education in Murica

I was transporting my laptop for college in an old worn-out Soviet military backpack where many spots were hastily sewn together with stapler and protected with short straps of electric tape.
OP knows nothing about shitty backpacks.

I've got an evEverki flight. Really solid backpack, great padding. I fits my 15.6" laptop like a sleeve. I'd be surprised if the one in your pic which is twice as expensive doesn't have any padding on the bottom.

My complaints with mine is that it's pretty thicc so not great in crowded areas. I was at some point going into a small gift shop and bumped the backpack into a bottle of some expensive shower gel and it fell on the floor and broke. Fortunately I didn't have to pay for it. Also it has a lot of compartments and separators. It's great if you have slim and small items but you can't fit anything bulky in it despite its volume.

>sacrificing a hand for a non-utility purpose

Herschel, this is the one I have

>ruining the shoulders on your suit just to have one hand free to jerk your friends off
Ah, right, I forgot that you faggots don't wear suits and need your hands fre so you can hold on to the bars of the public bus.

targus bags are pretty good. mine lasted me 9 years (middle school through high school).

janitor? how is it?

why not go paperless so you don't have to lug around a glorified box

>pays $80k in tuition
>gets a $20 backpack
lol burgers getting kiked hard

Some of us are employed in companies slightly bigger thanyour average startup with 4 guys who spend 80% of their day playing ping pong and going down slides, so we need paper shit for bureaucracy and whatnot.
Not to mention we aren't all codemonkeys, so some times paper is impossible to replace with anything digital.

You're already paying them $20k+/year. Just get yourself a Synapse or Empire Builder with a cache for your computer.
>tombihn.com/collections/laptop-bags/products/synapse-25?variant=50297911815

sounds like you picked the wrong job

And a dick is your head, i suppose?

Sorry to say my mans, but I am eurocuck.

>make a ton of money
>faggots on Jow Forums telling me I have the wrong job because it uses paper instead of being fully digital
I'm TOPKEKking at your life.

Soviet shit was made to endure the abuse by a knuckle dragging conscript.

Targus shit is made from the highest grade chinesium that falls apart when you blow on it.

in that case: I pay for your tuition and you get a backpack ... which I also paid for. fucking taxation. I long for the day of the rope when all politicians and their families will hang alongside the kikes and homos

The dream backpack
