Hiring Carbon-based life, unionized, $25/hour USD

>hiring Carbon-based life, unionized, $25/hour USD

Amazon purchased Kiva Systems years ago. With Amazon leading the way in robotics & automation, a large percentage of these warehouse jobs will probably be gone in less then a year.

nice, maybe they'll stop complaining

>lays off 1/2 workers
>replaces with machines
for every action....

Amazon doesn't even actually do anything worthwhile. They are a middleman between middlemen. They literally are just a platform that sells goods from actual producers and fills out the USPS paperwork for them to deliver.
All the "muh 2day delivery" work is done by the publically funded USPS.
There is literally nothing to automate when you do no work.

It's actually sad.
This ledditor's jubilation that then turns to outrage and all the while he doesn't understand what is actually happening and why. He asked for it though lmao. Wonder what the reaction will be when automation removes any need of them. They should be happy: Lenin said that technology would be the greatest boon to the working class.

>Keep complaining wagey and you'll be made into onions before your robot replacement gets here!
>Yes Mr. Nezzer

I'm so fucking tired of hearing Amazon employees crying 24/7 that I honestly can't wait for them to all get fired and replaced by robots.

then why doesn't every delivery service support 2 day delivery if its just USPS? Clearly false, amazon warehouses are efficient.

>amazon carriers are usps

These fucking retards who can't see past their own noses.

>spend years accruing pay rises
>employer raises the lowest rate to your current pay
>"YAY, THAT MEANS I'M GETTING A RAISE!"
How fucking retarded can you get? Cheering for a socialist pay structure, expecting a capitalist outcome.

Can't wait for the wage cage though.

once everything is automated and no one has a job who is going to buy the products?

Universal basic income. Working for fun and extra money not gonna go anywhere, too.

At that day, the ledditor learned the meaning of inflation

They learned the true meaning of socialism too: he does the hard work, slob on the job who does nothing gets auto bumped to a salary he worked years with.
>share the wealth
lmao
Pray to skynet and robot jesus that the end will come soon for all.

What do these people think a car is?

Just pay people nothing, then they can compete with machines. They'll have a job and can then buy the products.

>burger flippers want $15 an hour
>burger automated assembly lines already exist and are being field tested, day 1 results showed they perform more consistently than veteran human employees
>cashiers want $15 an hour
>kiosks and self checkout isles spring up all around the country, are slowly expanding
>warehouse workers want extensive benefits packages
>automated forklifts get deployed in warehouses and drastically slash the human workforce numbers
>warehouse workers still stupidly ask for $15 an hour wage
>even more automation is deployed, slashing the workforce again
>company profits at all time high
>idiot human workers who put in 40hr+ hours a week with little to no benefits wonder why they keep getting fucked
>they keep asking for across the board pay raises

Wow. Its almost like you get exactly what you ask for. There is no helping these NPCs.
Democrats will fight for wages, thereby destroying the workforce because they are directly responsible for making automation even more lucrative.
Republicans will give tax cuts to these companies, making them even more money, and they'll shower them with praise for hiring back 1/10 of the workers they previously fired.

What a wonderful dystopia we have to look forward to.

Pretty much this, were gonna be either culled off while the rich own everything or live like cattle who get UBI to maintain the endless cycle of consumer purchases.

Have you ever been in a driver's seat?

>Siding with the capitalists against the workers fighting for the full value of their labor

He didn't say that though, he was just pointing out the futility of it all

He hasn't, he's a bikecuk. something something "cagey" blah blah blah

Here come the amazon shills
>2 pesos have been droppes into your bezos account

They raised the minimum wage barely and took away their amazon stock shares

lmao

Literally just lost your retirement for an overall small increase in pay compared to those stock shares.

> the workers fighting for the full value of their labor
Turns out the "full value" doesn't amount to much

who was getting stock shares? warehouse workers? certainly not the 1099 "hope I'll have a job next week" workers

Their pay is the full value, brainlet. That's why someone is employed in the position and accepting it.

>user thinks USPS can operate two day shipping in the USA.

I'd work in a wage cage desu

>Raise the cost of prime
Look how awesome we are! We are increasing the wage for employees who have to piss in jugs and work just enough hours to not be eligible for healthcare! See, we do care about people!

>a large percentage of these warehouse jobs will probably be gone in less then a year.
You have no idea how the real world works.
