Is the answer important to you?

I'm using it right now, and I'm looking at other options because:
- the lock screen is ugly
- the lock screen wallpaper change I did was magically undone
- the lock screen interface has no borders, no antialiasing, no transparency
- transparency can't be applied on entire windows - just parts of them through window tweaks

I JUST WANT A SEMI-TRANSPARENT GEDIT PLS

You can also try changing the lockscreen (the default is lightdm-gtk-greeter) and the window manager (the default is openbox). XFCE is really modular and everything is really easy to change.

You canm ake XFCE look and act like all the others , its the only one you need, Its so modular

what's it like to be a mindless stereotype?

Great. It feels great.

of course. there's no state of mind like no state of mind.

>be elitist ganoo leenox user
>can't into desktop recording

A lot of people use webkit-greeter

Yesterday tried to change my GTK2/3 theme. If GTK2, some icons on the panel will not be correct as it is with the Xfce-dusk theme. If GTK3, there are problems with desktop icons. If I want to make my xfce a bit darker, I only can use Adwaita-dark.

I use cinnamon, but mate is probably the best.

but that looks like shit, Manuel
>no borders
>empty user icon
>sharp borders between the light grey and the near-black
>white and blue blurred background with those theme colors
blurred background and extremely sharp foreground? horror

still ugly lol

>Manuel
try again, sweaty ;)

Xfce embodies the traditional UNIX philosophy of modularity and re-usability. It consists of a number of components that provide the full functionality one can expect of a modern desktop environment, while remaining relatively light. They are packaged separately and you can pick among the available packages to create the optimal personal working environment.
