i have a girlfriend, and i don't want her to find out i'm running linux, and leave.

How could a daki care about what OS you use?
I need to use Adobe Premier to make webms for /wsg/

How is latency when using audio interfaces for music production? Also VST2 support.
use jack
Haven't tried it, but it looks like a superior form of ableton link. How is the driver support for non midi devices? I have a maschine mk2 and an ableton push 2.
I have a basic alesis V49 and it works fine out of the box on kubuntu.
LMMS is great and is enough for me.
I use bitwig and its pretty great. Has a native Linux port too. Gonna give it a shot when I get home tonight.
Linux is controlled by corporations like Microsoft, a platinum member of the Linux foundation. Might as well just use Windows and have better software and hardware support.
>using wine to use old version of program
>there is not enough people to maintain all this shit and update them
>check one of programs I use for work: 1.8 win vs 1.2 linux
oh yea! get ready to install this bad boi
the push 2 seems to be supported as a midi device, but not the mk2, i did some searching and found this though

Because I don't want to run a SJW OS thanks to the CoC
Enjoy your tranny run OS
But can it run 3dsmax? No. So shut the fuck up. 3dsMax is the C lang of 3d world. Old but just werks and used everywhere.

GIMP is an excellent source of peppers.

Because I don't have enough hard drives to migrate 10 TB of data away from NTFS.
This
What a shame, hopefully more devices will be supported in the future
>using proprietary botnets on free linux
You should have an external backup anyways
Good on you for leaving that slave boat that is doomed to collapse anyways.
Linux is the future so you might as well leave while you can winblows users
Microsoft
Google
Intel
AMD
they all provide the largest proportion of the core Linux kernel developers.
Those companies literally pay people salaries to develop Linux.
just don't buy devices that have weird protocols, midi has been a standard for 35 years now
>ELF
bahahahahahaha
No native foobar2000 support.
Last time I checked WINE didn't handle global hotkeys and the notifications were ugly. I doubt plugins would work.
If it worked I'd move to MacOS.
I have a scarlett 2i4 and bitwig on my machine, never noticed any problems with latency at all using ALSA or Jack. Even if so, bitwig has easy one click sync for your external sound sources.
Shut the fuck up Stallman
Maschine has a display that the vst uses to display selected patches and parameters. It was a gift, so it became part of my workflow
Is there a way to combine multiple audio interfaces from different manufactures? The lack of this on windows vs osx is very frustrating.
Has anyone successfully gotten AutoCad or Solidworks running (well enough to use) through wine? It's the one thing I have yet to find a solid replacement for. Then I can finally delete my Windows partition.

Apparently can be done via Jack, but have not tested this myself as I have no need for such a setup.
