I have a basic alesis V49 and it works fine out of the box on kubuntu.

LMMS is great and is enough for me.

I use bitwig and its pretty great. Has a native Linux port too. Gonna give it a shot when I get home tonight.

Linux is controlled by corporations like Microsoft, a platinum member of the Linux foundation. Might as well just use Windows and have better software and hardware support.

Last time I checked WINE didn't handle global hotkeys and the notifications were ugly. I doubt plugins would work.
If it worked I'd move to MacOS.

I have a scarlett 2i4 and bitwig on my machine, never noticed any problems with latency at all using ALSA or Jack. Even if so, bitwig has easy one click sync for your external sound sources.

Is there a way to combine multiple audio interfaces from different manufactures? The lack of this on windows vs osx is very frustrating.

Has anyone successfully gotten AutoCad or Solidworks running (well enough to use) through wine? It's the one thing I have yet to find a solid replacement for. Then I can finally delete my Windows partition.
