*sip* i5 2500k, now THAT was a CPU.
*sip* i5 2500k, now THAT was a CPU
*sip*
Ah, woodscrews and fermifires. Now *those* were memes.
I miss being able tho who and wall at people to meet me for pizza :(
Make phosphor great again
I'm still using one in my tower
works like a charm
*sip* Hyper Transport Link, now that was a CPU bus.
who /i5-4670k/ here?
Had mine at 4.6 ghz...... still kinda miss her...
How much can I get for it? should I sell it together with the mobo and ram?
The chip isn't worth much but the board is worth alot if it's a P67/Z68.
Me, but just bought an 8700k for $330 because I wasn't going to fucking pay $220 for a used 4790k
zoomer pls
>tfw born right on the edge in 1995 so I could enjoy C2D and 32nm chips as a young boi
I'm in luck then, got a P67. Might as well sell them together anyway, don't really care to keep unused parts around.
Is it a bad CPU or something?
>not the q6600 and cow2beef.exe
them were the days
> 70c
h o u s e f i r e
That better be at 5ghz
It was at 90c in the summer
AYYMDfags are just butthurt because i5 2500k still btfos anything from AYYMD.
2500k was really good but on a multithreaded game a shitty FX CPU will fuckin slap it nowadays.
Not impressed. I have a 1st gen i5 you fucking zoomer.
Show me one game which can fully take advantage of MOAR COARS.
The 1700 w CPU wasn't ryzen though.
How about literally anything on DX12 like the 2016 version of doom? Multithreading is the future my dude, AMD new this back in 2011, just like how they knew 64 bit was the future, it wasn't needed at the time it came out, people wouldn't write apps to use 8 threads at once, but when devs caught up, it stayed relevant.
*cracks* Still runs everything I need at decent frame rates *sips*
That was the cooler. A CPU can't physically push through 1700w. Before you start regurgitating the bullshit about no one doing that, I'd like you to take a look at the people who have overclocking world records. They go even further than what intel did.
>was
>he got memed into upgrading
Well it was
That's a bullshit lie AMDfags like to say but it's not true. AMDoredTV speculated on it, all the AMDfags took it as truth and started posting it everywhere and then people went back and tested it and surprise surprise FX is still getting shit on by sandy bridge in games.
>was
Me, planning to fall for Ryzen meme next year tho
So it was just for show? The PSUs were just for show, too?
>intel shill defended this
*cracks* now now, but the 4790k, that STILL IS some CPU *sips*
cpu.userbenchmark.com
how will AMD ever recover?
the future is now
The same way intel will recover.
They won't.
I'm using a 3570k right now, because I got it cheap from a friend.
what do you mean
>was
?
The single thread is really good but the core count won't stop you from bottlenecking.
Uninronically correct.
it's funny you're promoting a jewish drink while meming about a jewish cpu
Nothing beat the 105c of the fermis.
Literally speaking as well.
Literally any game made by Dice
>Just wait FX will get better over time
>7 years later
>Muh directX12
>Still worse
lmao
>2500k
Funny way of spelling AMD K6-3 500
Dice games suck though.
>FX
Show me an fx that beats this?
>Not using i5 2550K
Not a true boomer
Overwatch, Fallout 4, GTA V, Watch Dogs (2), The Division, Doom
>inb4 muh shitty games
Don't move the goalposts.
None of those are made by DICE?
I could crush that on the multi at 5GHz but I don't want to increase my voltage.
Blizzard, bethesda, rockstar, ubisoft, ubisoft, bethesda
No DICE here, since they're owned by EA, and EA had nothing to do with any of those.
yikes image owning a Ryzen 1 series CPU
Well mine is a stable 24/7 overclock.
That's pretty good, the 8350 will need about 1.6v to get that big ass die to run stable at which point it is acceptable to call it a housefire because AMD lists safe volts only up to 1.5.
Jesus christ replace thermal paste and mount your cooler correctly.
Also no,it's not a bad cpu
Joke's on you.
2500K is an absolute legend. They will sing songs about it.
I was thinking of upgrading to ryzen 2700, but the single core speed is only 10% better. Kinda sad.
i'm guessing that's liquid cooled?
Yeah it is was a gift were it not for it I would have a noctua d 15 cooler.
Just wait for 2x 28 core cooper lake dies glued together lmao
non-k counts?
It's the perfect CPU.
I5-2500k clocked to 4.7Ghz reporting in.
>tfw 56 phase power delivery
*sip* Turbo buttons, now THAT was a feature.
I like the 8700K.
I can play Fortnite on high settings!
jelly. intel disabled VT-d (see: gpu passthrough for virtualized windows guests) on hasell's unlocked variants but kept it enabled on the standard models.
you mean intel and/or motherboard manufacturers dont care enough to patch non-Z chipsets? i havent got one update for bios or anything, even after downloading latest microcode updates and installing them manually on linux the checking tool worked (h87 chipset)
2600k was better.
Even now it's almost 30% faster in most use cases.
Dude fx fucking blows just stop
it was disabled on-chip. i5-4670 on either chipset will work for passthrough but the i5-4670k just doesn't support it. it's a funny little quirk that I regret unironically paying extra for, especially since overclocking my chip produced negligible performance gains.
The single core is garbage but you get eight of those fuckers.
I went from i7 920 to a i5 7600k
4690k here. Can the refresh get in on this?
>Boomer meme
>Not the 700Mhz Athlon
Now that was a good processor
>CRAAAACK
>SIIP
Ahh the gtx 1080ti.... now that was a good gpu
>You younglings and your 6 core CPU running at 4 GHz
>You know... Back in my day we only had a 486 with a clock speed of 66 MHz
>Yep, we used to play Doom all day with this and a 2D software display adapter
Ah the q6600 that CPU was my first and wow what a beast.
