I'd like to update an image file but keep the same URL, how might it be possible without hosting it myself?

Where is it hosted?

What kind of image? Like an image of a disk, or a photograph?

not anywhere at the moment

photograph, image banner

I read some people convert to base64 from a textfile hosted elsewhere, like google drive, but that requires changing it back to a png.. which is not something that would work for a forums [img] tag.

What would cause one phone to connect to a PC, but another to fail?
Same USB cable.
Same USB port.
Both are Andriod, using MTP.

cute drawing of me

Can you be a little more specific? Is it like the image that is clickable which when clicked it wraps [img][/img] around a link? Like on a vBulletin forum?
Why are you trying to update it, if you don't own it? Or, is it just for your personal viewing?

I work for a small business and my boss asked me to look around for prices on bulk orders of flash drives. I've found a few sites with cursory searches, but I've got no way of confirming the quality of those sites except for mostly on-site reviews (like hell I'm going to trust that shit). Checked the SanDisk site for awhile to see if I could find some kind of straight from manufacturer deal for bulk orders, but I didn't turn up anything else. I'm still looking about but do any of you have any experience putting in big (100+) orders for flash drives before? Any recommendations or ideas?

tl;dr Anybody know a good way to get 100+ flash drives?

Attached: flash_aaa-aaaah.jpg (1000x1000, 39K)

Check the chink shit general. Link in the OP. People there can recommend you a seller that won't screw you.

>Why are you trying to update it, if you don't own it? Or, is it just for your personal viewing?

the forum software doesn't update old posts, figured I could keep them up to date if I used the same URL.

I have a pirated copy of windows 7 and I just cloned my SSD to a newer, bigger SSD and now after 3 years of no problems with it it seems windows caught my fake copy. how do i get rid of this? I dont even think i have the crack anymore, TPB is down and i don't want to upgrade to winblows 10 until absolutely necessary. I tried looking online elsewhere for help because other people had similar issues but all the whiteknight pajeets want you to enter your legit win7 key somewhere to make it work.

pls and thanx

If you're a moderator, or admin, you can edit posts in most forum programs. What software is it?

Two questions
Does Firefox have a setting where I can have all websites load with a set zoom percent?
Second; doesn't Firefox have a built in vertical tabs option, where is it?
Thanks

Attached: 1517420631590.png (310x320, 59K)

just a plain user, trying to be fancy with a signature is all.

Links in the OP.

Their wiki doesn't recommend buying memory sticks and and it'll be a hard sell to my boss regardless, but thanks for the lead.

You can't change your signature in your userCP?
You literally add it to every post?
Ask the mods/admin if they'll do it if the forum software doesn't allow you to edit your posts, or have a userCP that allows universal stuff like avatars and signatures.

They all come from China. Just gotta find a company that's not going to fuck you. I'd ask there anyway.
Newegg has a site for businesses you can try also. neweggbusiness.com/

as said, pastebin in the OP
pastebin.com/smjvLZN4
scroll to the activation section, and this is the magnet link, still works:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:37041ba60196e8eff7050a801ebe73cedb8c0748&dn=Windows%20Loader%20v2.2.2&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.opentrackr.org%3a1337&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fzer0day.ch%3a1337&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3a6969&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.leechers-paradise.org%3a6969&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fexplodie.org%3a6969

you can edit signatures in UserCP, posts made prior to the edit won't change.

Is there a way to have say.. a free domain (static url) point to an image host like imgur? or would it detect it as a redirect and not work?

Try DHGate. I've bought stuff through those guys a few times, worked out - though I'm sure it'll vary with the individual seller.

>posts made prior to the edit won't change.
What software is this?

>Is there a way to have say.. a free domain (static url) point to an image host like imgur?
You can hotlink on most platforms. You just have to worry about the host going down, like photobucket and the 10 other photohosting sites that've gone tits up.

>What software is this?
Powered by vBulletin™ Version 4.1.3

>posts made prior to the edit won't change.
Odd, wonder what forum software is involved.

A lot of modern forum software uploads images to the local host (to mixed media security warnings).

You can host the image yourself (cost ya maybe $40/yr for a cheap domain and hosting service - which has lots of other uses), but some browsers won't update the image if it's already in their cache and under the same url - and if the forum localizes images, that won't work either.

Ask the admin about it. He needs to change a setting in the server to allow the signatures of all of your old posts to change to what ever you set it to in your userCP. It should act just like your avatar.

is that magnet link for windows loader? i just downloaded it and it got flagged as a trojan, is it a false positive?

also if so do i just need to reinstall the loader? i think that's what the readme is saying.

Jeeze, well that forum isn't going to be around long anyways. Dozens of different exploits to crash the whole database of a vBulletin that old.

Odd though, I thought vBulletin had global signatures since version 3.

Windows Defender may "defend" against it.

okay thanks, I'll try But I think I also see the same person with different avatars also, looking at their old posts.

Enjoy your new forum, OP.

It was webroot and malwarebytes, flagged it as a hacktool.

How does the following sound as the basis for a self taught web dev stack after graduating with a BS in CS (info systems minor), but only working some shitty jobs and an okay NOC job so far?

HTML, CSS, JavaScript w/ React (primary) & Angular (secondary), Node.js, Python + Django, MySQL & RDBMS, REST, Docker, AWS, Scrum + Agile, Git. Also, existing knowledge in C++, C, and Java, plus experimentation with GoLang. Lastly, brush ups on more design patterns, sorting algos, and data structures, and projects posted on github.

Probably because it can access your Windows Key - just about anything that can will.

...and, well, it is a hacktool, just hopefully not one designed to hack you.

This. But, if you got it from the magnet in the OP, it's just going to activate your Windows install.

fair enough. I'll turn off my antivirus and give it a go. I'm almost considering just buying one on ebay for 6 bucks if it doesnt work, they're dirt cheap now

yea it's for Daz's Windows Loader
Wouldn't be surprising if Windows or an antivirus didn't trust it, but it's a false positive, it's safe. you can check the checksums if you wanna be sure (which is always a good practice to do anyways)
then just run it as administrator and click Install
if that doesn't work I'd be very surprised

What program can I use to burn in MKV subtitles without converting the file into MP4 or converting at all.
I'm dealing with like 50 files close to 500mb each and a fast solution.

Attached: Rider Lift.webm (350x196, 2.99M)

Pretty much guarantees the key is used, so you'll end up back at square one anyways.

Ya can't turn softsubs into hardsubs without re encoding.

Unless ya mean you want to add subtitles to an MKV package in which case, pick your poison:
apowersoft.com/add-subtitles-to-mkv.html

the loader worked fine, thanks for helping my brainlet ass

on to another glorious final 2 years of win7!

No problem.

No, was hoping to avoid converting because it takes for fucking ever and I usually end up fucking up the quality when using handbrake.

What's a good app to exchange/transfer data between two android phones over WiFi?

To the fuckin retarded user from /wsr/
public static int getCups() {
String input = JOptionPane.showInputDialog("How many cups have you bought this month?");

try {
int cups = Integer.parseInt(input);
if (cups < 0) throw new Exception();
return cups;
} catch (Exception e) {
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Invalid number");
return getCups();
}
}

it simply doesn't make sense to say you want to hardcode subtitles without reencoding, hardcoding subtitles means making the text part of the video image, changing the image at all requires reencoding

thanks my dude

Is it relatively safe to buy a used Xeon? They generally can't be overclocked or abused. If thermal conditions were bad the chip would just throttle right?

I want a more efficient/elegant way to chart my reading list, pic related.
I want to make it in a spreadsheet, since there are some conflicting opinions on which issues should be read. So as you can see, I right now just have a plain list which I change the color of if I read it. This would make it tedious to rearrange them. What I am thinking in the spreadsheet though is to list all the issues in a series/volume, and then make the order, which cells could just point to an issue and take which issues are needed.
Then I could just mark the cells on the list part as I read them.

Attached: DeepinScreenshot_select-area_201810041701333.png (838x636, 48K)

They're fine. Those old old xeons have temperature thresholds that would sooner see you die in a fire than slow down a bit.

You, again, arent asking a question

how do I add .ac3 and .ass files to .mkv files' audio and subtitle tracks without re-encoding?
I can currently play the .mkv with MPC and since the audio and subtitle files are the same name, it will list them in the audio and subtitle tracks, but I want them each to be just one file

Is it safe to buy heatsinks like pic related and apply a thin layer or Arctic Silver 5 on it and stick it on a SBC or user them as VRM cooling? There would be no short circuits?

Attached: heatsink.jpg (1200x1200, 538K)

It's safe, but you want to use an adhesive.

I think my IMC on my CPU is fucked, booting with ram in a certain channel will make it boot loop. Does memtest still run?

A test in the channel that does work shows 0 errors and the CPU intel test also shows no errors.

How tf do I check my memory controller - short of taking it to a g4mer computer store

I'm asking how I could go about doing my task in the manner I described, a manner similar to the one I described, or a third way that is more efficient/elegant than my current method.

Silly question. But I'm getting a 4tb external HDD so I can move all my data from my 1tb and finally have my ssd as the only bootable windows with my HDD as pure storage(slave drive?)
Anyways. Does clone software like ease to-do and such have the option to just move files and leave software and OS behind?
Does my external have to have windows?

I'll shitpost. Best paid antivirus?

>Does my external have to have windows?
No.
Connect it to your PC via USB, format it as GPT, and you're done.

> learning c++ as beginner brainlet.
> stuck on preprocessor directive chapter

do i need to learn this shit before i learn loops and simple shit like that?

>Connect it to your PC via USB, format it as GPT, and you're done.
Can I partition the drive later and not lose data? I'm think of getting a ps4 and pirating games so I'll be dumping them on to the external

>Can I partition the drive later and not lose data?
Yeah, pretty sure you can shrink a partition and create another one with the free space with Disk Management in windows.

>get great idea to finally upgrade windows
>burn win10 on USB
>burn win 7 on another USB just for back up if 10 fails
>burn Manjaro Linux just to test out on another USB
>install 10, it fails and almost completes install but fails due to "corrupt file"
>fuck it.
>imma reinstall 7 and fix the shit
>forgot to load my USB 3 driver for keyboard/wireless mouse
>Ffffffff
>calm down I still got Loonix
>boot fails because of unrecognized file system
Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck

can't go back because I had reformatted. No access to another computer for maybe another week. Fuck. Stuck on damn phone posting now.

DAMMIT. what do now?

If I torrent chink porn games, how important is it for me to get a VPN?

Attached: 1537466778097.gif (450x250, 1.98M)

>>Can I partition the drive later and not lose data?
>Yeah, pretty sure you can shrink a partition and create another one with the free space with Disk Management in windows.
Alright then great stuff. Thanks a bunch m8

Attached: gettyimages-919094590.jpg (620x310, 16K)

>DAMMIT. what do now?
You're doing it.
None, no one cares.

People don't enforce other people's copyright. Unless the chinks have the will to contact your ISP with a lawyer, you have zero worries.

This is probably a super retarded question, but is there a way to use entire images as Snapchat stickers on android, instead of using the shitty cutout tool that never works properly? I'd like to find out where the stickers are stored, but all I could find is an iphone guide from two years ago.

In Anne Pro's bluetooth configuration mode, what does the A key do besides changing colors from red to green and back again?

There's no mention of it in the manuals.

If you are torrenting without a VPN, the company who made the product will probably send you some threatening letters to not pirate their shit. Otherwise IDK. Why would you want people to know what you are doing? Just get a VPN.

Malwarebytes or bitdefender

I don't have an answer, but if you REALLY can't get it, just move past it and see how far you can get before it bites you in the ass.

so this is like google cloud but i can have servers in countries that 3letters can't touch, right?

so all i gotta do is find someone running their own instance of an openstack cloud, right?

Attached: open-stack.png (160x44, 2K)

I heard some of the Mac OS stuff is open source, would someone be able to take some of that and use to make an OS? Are the parts for audio/low latency open source?

>would someone be able to take some of that and use to make an OS?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwin_(operating_system)
>Are the parts for audio/low latency open source?
not sure about that specifically, but most of the interesting parts like the display server are proprietary

Did you remember to disable Fast Boot from within Windows, since the kikes don't want you getting into the BIOS to run Linux?

Anyone know how to adjust the lighting modes on an Etekcity scroll k9500 keyboard? I accidently hit a thing and it changed the color on me and I have no clue where the manual went and haven't found one online.

usually you only need a VPN to torrent if you're torrenting hollywood movies, maybe certain anime (like naruto)
but you can usually not get a vpn if it's the majority of anime, porn, older stuff, stuff where the creators aren't willing to go to the effort of preventing people from getting it etc. a jap porn game is pretty much never going to give you a copyright strike

There is a fuckton on reasons to not use Windows 10 and only one small reason to use it which won't be relevant for a few years anyways
Why were you trying to install Windows 10?

the readme is only for ubuntu and all about some fucking lua file.

how the fuck do I use this on windows?

I woke up today to find my PC filled with malware, garbage browser extensions, etc, but I haven't touched my computer in the last few days. I think I took care of it with malwarebytes but I'm more confused about where it came from.
Can you get malware from something other than downloading and installing shady applications?

I recently got a USB DAC for my computer and was wondering about the Windows volume setting. I've looked around a lot to see what people are saying and I've gotten varied answers, like set Windows and program volumes to max, set them to just below max, set them to 75%, etc. Right now I have my music player and Windows set to max (both at 0dB), but is the green volume bar in Windows an accurate display of volume? Say for instance if I'm playing a song that has the green bar all the way at the top the entire time, despite the song having varied volume. Does that affect the sound in any way? In the speaker setting you can change the visible number to decibels (and this is the same bar as the Windows master volume) and maxed out is 0dB which I imagine is good.

I have a Dell Optiplex 3010, it came with Windows 7 64bit originally and around 2 years ago it auto-updated to Windows 10 64bit as a free upgrade. After it updated to Windows 10 it always had an issue where it becomes slow as shit, in task manager the disk usage is like 70-99% despite nothing going on. So I wipe the whole HDD and re-install Windows 7 and everything is fine, disk usage is normal. Since it's a spare PC and not really used for anything I got curious and installed Windows 10 again from scratch this time and the same thing happened, disk usage almost always at 70-99% no matter what.

Does the motherboard in this thing just hate Windows 10? I don't get it.

Attached: Optiplex_3010_SFF_Front_Thin_Big_Padded_Reduced_1400x.png (838x1000, 219K)

Not at all in my experience, and I've been torrenting chinkporn without a VPN for yonks. Like maybe if it's a game on Steam that has distribution from a major publisher I might have 2nd thoughts.

if you complain to hr about a manager, is your career essentially over?

What is a good scientific calculator? And which one is the one everyone uses?

Hey guys, so I was playing Yakuza 0 and recording some footage of the game with OBS, when after a little bit, my PC froze and game me the blue screen of death that read: Clock_Watchdog_Timeout

What does this mean exactly, and how can I fix it so I can get back to recording and gaming? Many thanks for any help!

Should I use ddrescue or safecopy for an external hard drive that's giving me I/O failure ?

I don't hear any clicking sounds or buzzing noise, but the light of the USB connector is on.

thinking of getting an ssd; should i get an m.2 or nah?

Check your motherboard, figure out of it supports SATA or NVMe

nvme

If you've never had an SSD before, I'd recommend just a regualr 2.5" for factor. Prices have been decreasing rapidly the last year. NVMe is still expensive though, and most people can't really make use of the extra speed, unless they have all of their SATA ports being used together in RAID10

>I'd recommend just a regualr 2.5" for factor.
regular 2.5" form factor.

thanks. never had an ssd before, so i guess just jumping to any ssd would be enough for me. i render videos occasionally and play a few games, so 500 should be more than enough. im also considering it cause i swear to god windows 10 feels slow as shit compared to 7. a 6700k should not take as long as a fx6300 to open shit from the exact same hard drive.

Javascript, flash games, and PDF files are all common vectors of attack for malware

Can I keep using debian stable while having deb-multimedia sid repo? I just want to install the newer versions of ffmpeg and mpv

>same hard drive.
That's the bottleneck.
overclock.net/forum/20-hard-drives-storage/1156654-sean-s-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-ssds-hdds.html
Bookmark that link. Even though it's for 7, most of the tips in there should work for 10.

you'll probably break other things by upgrading ffmpeg separately

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm guessing even if with the safer backport alternative I can still break something
