Why don't they make cases with huge fans?

Expensive, and noise. Plus that's ugly.
Juan Diaz
But the larger the fan, the lower you can have the rpm, thus making it more silent.
Colton Wilson
Thermaltake had a MicroATX (Armor A30) case with a 230mm fan, also full-time Blue LED.
Jace Lee
>putting a fan inside a case is expensive
Josiah Wood
You can buy a box fan for $10 at Wal-Mart
Dominic Hernandez
larger diameter fans typically have poor static pressure and are more expensive to produce because they require larger hubs to hold the larger + heavier set of rotors, and generally speaking one 200mm fan doesn't move any more air than 2 120mm fans, which can be mass-produced at a unit price that's less than half of a 200mm fan (since the 120 is going to be in multiple other places in the case either way, it's cheaper to make 3 of 1 thing, versus 1 of one thing and 1 of another once you're talking large quantities)

My Phanteks case has a 180mm fan at the front. It's quite nice and very quiet.
Anthony Clark
They are cheaper per cfm.
Ayden Martin

Phanteks Enthoo Pro
I have the non-windowed version.
Juan Lewis
there is no banana to scale so i have no idea how big that case is
Jace Morales
Full tower, 21 inches/53.5 cm tall. so the fan is about 1/3rd the front of the case, or the diameter of a medium sized banana.
Leo Martin
This might be more helpful.
Elijah Cox
why can't fractal do this?
Camden Price
>not just buying mini-itx with 200mm fan support
altough you would probably want to cut some holes in the front panel because phanteks cases are ovens
Benjamin Sanchez
t. brainlet
Christopher Ross
Also, I am retard. It's actually a 200mm fan.
Benjamin Carter
i had a stupid alchoholic friend and he had that exact case
it was noisy rickety abortion that covered the insides with dust. it was later confiscated by the police for CP and destroyed
Liam Rogers
their airflow cases have always had a bunch of fans mounts in front, my define S has triple 140mm in front for intake
can't find a picture of the define S all decked out with fans, but here's the shorter define nano S which is the same idea except mATX, so it allows for twin 140mm fans in the front
Owen Butler
yeah but 140mm fan is no 200mm fan
Leo Parker
two 140mm fans will btfo a 200mm fan anytime unless the 200mm fan is running at a pointlessly high RPM making noise or you get some kind of godawful 140mm fans that run slow
Jordan Stewart
200mm can move more air than a 140mm and be 10 times quieter
Juan Thomas
Don't listen to the fanlets with their tiny blades. They could never properly cool a computer like the big boys.
Aaron Hill
why not install 6 120mm jet engines
David Collins
>not just having an open air case
lmao:ing @ your noise
Noah Hernandez
enjoy your EMF radiation
Landon Parker
Because a decent aftermarket heatsink is more than enough.
Eli Young
I have a 200mm fan, shit is loud not because of motor noise, but because of the 'wind' noise. Computer is much more quiet with 4 x 120mm at low voltage than the single 200mm at low voltage.
Hunter Hall

> not having a 230mm intake fan blowing 150cfm of cool air directly onto your GPU
If Rosewill can figure this out, other case manufacturers have no excuse
Jacob Adams
This is so stupid. If it was like $80-$100 I would unironically buy one
Nicholas Scott
Probably due to blades design. I had 200mm fans on my case but died, I'm using 4 120mm now and I want to go back but 200mm are like 5 times the price of one 120mm and I need two.
Christopher Reed
>spill soda on it
Adam Morris
Thermaltake View 37 has TWO 200mm frontal fans.
Leo Thomas
My ex bought me one. I'd sell it to you if you lived near me, the box takes up a ridiculous amount of space in my storage.
Jack Evans
>gaymer case
Angel Richardson
Thermaltake Core X5 and X9 have two frontal fans as well.
James Ross
I have one of these cases still. Easily a top 10 tech buy. Too bad they are no longer produced.
Jonathan Jones
The only thing that sucks is the sliding latch style side doors and the relatively small amount of space for hiding cables on the back side of the case.
That and the plastic grill piece that holds the front intake fans behind the metal grille can break easily and I doubt I'll ever be able to find a replacement.
Chase Martinez
because you only need 1 aftermarket fan in your case for your CPU cooler if your case is well ventelated at front and back
only reason people put lots of fans in cases in the 2000s was GPU coolers where crap and northbridges where hot but thats changed.
and twin stack coolers like NH-D15 are retarded and dont help NH-C14 which is same thing just with one fin stack performs exactly the same at 150w load and push pull doesnt help enough.
Noctua NH-D15 13.3 delta
Noctua NH-C14s 14.1 delta
just buy a decent cooler and put a noctua or delta fan on it and stop being retarded and buying 5-6 expensive fans fans.
Jeremiah Richardson
and yes I mean if your case is well ventilated you can literally take out the shitting fans at the back and front and get same temps because they do nothing.
Justin Sanchez
and you don't even need to buy a aftermarket fan for the CPU cooler if it already comes with a decent one which many do. the fan market is retarded ignore it.
Jeremiah Hughes
Why don't people just design an dmake their own case out of some lightweight plywood?
Julian Jones
literal housefire
William Perez
not really no computer components can reach temps or spark a fire with wood.
Ryan Miller
like they might be running at 95 or 100deg in the core sensor but 5mm away from that its like 50deg and 1cm away its like 30deg. silicon doesn't catch fire nor does pcb
Thomas Barnes
Use plexiglass
Sebastian Garcia

>PLEBtec
>master race

I still use a HAF 932 and a HAF X unironically in 2018. The side intake fan really does make a difference to the GPU.
Leo Turner
>it was later confiscated by the police for CP and destroyed

John Carter
>drinking or eating near your computer
Disgusting
Julian Adams
Injection molding big delicate things is hard and expensive.
Precision is needed to keep noise and wear down, production volume is lower then modular fans making prices higher.
Camden Peterson
>can't find a picture of the define S all decked out with fans
*unblocks your path and also airflow*
Adam Davis
>my define S has triple 140mm in front for intake
What? But the maximum fan space in the front is 360, so that's enough room for 3 120mm or 2 140mm.
Is this not so?
Gabriel Anderson

Liam Scott
>What happened to your friend

>that's ugly
Then marry a different pc case
Jacob Ramirez
I have this case and it's comfy as fuck
Lucas Gray
>more expensive to produce
>buys a bunch of meme company fans 12cm for 25€ each because muh silent than the competition 3000rpm and colourful leds
Oliver Ross
Is that a Hiper Type-R power supply?
Henry Mitchell
Enema bottle?
Andrew Morgan
You dont really need big fans now. My pc runs under 40 degrees with all the fans on low.
Zachary White
my 650d had a 200mm but it was loud as fuck. ive got 3x corsair 120mm and 2x 140mmML fans now and they are absurdly quiet.
Sebastian Young
I cool my pc with 20 delta fans
Luke Foster
200mm fan or bust!
Austin Scott
sometimes my fans start to get rattly/noisy after a few years, a behemoth like that rattling at all would be loud enough to wake up my roommate most likely.
Liam Gray
>that huge cpu heatstink blocking free airflow
Isaiah Martinez
Are you literally dumb?
Aaron Price
*WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRR*
Camden Hall
He should get a 280mm radiator where those noctuas are with big ugly tubes in the way and a shitty RGB led corporate logo slapped on it for maximum brand awareness.
I hope your socks never fit right again. Ass hole shill.
William Foster
you just had a shit 200mm fan
Dominic Brown
where are the ML 200mm fans then?
Elijah Thomas
Why don't they makes cases with modular liquid cooling installations you can hook up to your house's plumbing system and reuse the heat to get hot water for less money?
John Garcia
I am laughing so hard.
Jace Williams
I remember when Antec 900/1200 were hot shit with their 200mm exhaust fans. Are their new cases any good?
Charles Phillips
>140mmML fans
>absurdly quiet
I find them absurdly loud compared to the AF140's that came with my case, am i retarded ?
Noah Thompson
At the end of the day 140mm > *
They can make them silent, better energy efficiency, and cheaper making a larger profit margin.
Nathan Edwards
250mm fan on my aerocool masstige was silent
Brayden Young
This is so epic my gaymer friends xDDdddDd

I have the h500p and I fucking love this case, the two 200mm fans on the front are super quiet and spin nice and fast, great airflow

Pure cooling efficiency.

user nothing makes sense, there is just so many things off.
Josiah Anderson
Eeeeeh it's a little plastic-y on the top and front covers but the sides are tempered glass and the cable management is a dream sense it has steel panels to cover it up, the build quality isn't top tier but it's good enough, especially for the price
Evan Bailey
3 X 230mm job done
Brody Miller
I'm curious.
Tell me more.
Oliver Reyes
needs more blue LEDs
