Aussie here, Fixed wireless was great, until more people around my area jumped aboard. Ping was 3ms to local city and super stable 30 mbps. These days it's ~22mbps and ping ~10-20ms to city. Still better than my home line of unstable 3mbps.

The ISP I'm looking into using has fibre backbone with all high end Motorola equipment so I'm hoping it won't be that bad.
