You're retarded and have no idea how modern malware works. Infected nodes scan ports with tcp/syn to see which IP address gives a response. If the IP responds, the node will attempt to propogate with exploits or default/common passwords.

You're a brainlet if you think that there is no router/modem separating an average user from the rest of the Internet.

The routers are the devices being exploited though? That's why we have so many linux malware too. Please do research on malware and network requests.
